In this interview, Serge Benhayon shares the esoteric and energetic understandings of the spirit and soul and how they relate to illness and disease and healing. This broadens the whole sphere of discussion on illness, disease and healing, far beyond what is currently accepted in conventional medicine to include the spiritual dimension and its role in illness manifestation and healing.
Have a cup of tea, sit back and enjoy an enlightening exploration into the subject, that if accepted, expands and evolves our understanding of the human condition, illness, disease and healing.

I first came across Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine Therapies through my own illness – a case of recurring pneumonia nearly 17 years ago and only 2 years after the birth of my son. I was a well known and successful Naturopath and Acupuncturist who walked my talk, but nothing would budge the condition for longer than a couple of weeks.
Despite doing everything the medical profession offered and applying the best available of alternative medicine, my weight had dropped from 54 to 47kgs. I was at my wits end, feeling desperate and at a loss to know where to turn.
Through a timely meeting with a friend who shared with me her cousin’s recent visit to Serge Benhayon, I found myself instantly drawn to seek an appointment. That day, December 16th 2001, marked a change in my life I could never have predicted. As someone who grew up without the influence of organised religion and in a largely atheist household, I had no meaningful experiences I would ever have called religious. I did however have a great deal of experience with what I might have once called healing, being involved in and passionate about health and fitness most of my younger life and studying natural medicine for several years. To link the words religion and healing at the time however, could not have been more absurd in my view, and so to come to a point today where I now link healing and religion inextricably reflects a significant shift in my understanding.
When we think of healing, I dare say for most the word has lost its real meaning in everyday life and would be considered synonymous with the current dictionary offerings of: alleviating, palliating, easing, helping, softening, lessening, mitigating, attenuating, allaying and so on.
Historically in many cultures religion and healing have actually shared a close relationship. Shamans and priests held the power to ‘heal’ the sick through restoring the relationship of the individual with the unseen dimensions. A disturbance in this relationship was seen, and still is, amongst some religious enthusiasts as a valid cause of illness. Continue reading “A true relationship with healing = true religion”

I was watching a TV program the other night and there was a panel of four, three women and one man, discussing domestic violence. Asked at the end of the discussion to state, in their opinion, what was the most important thing to tackle about domestic violence, the man replied that men needed to get rid of the rough and tough image of what it was to be a man. As the camera panned back to the women, all three were nodding implicitly.
Addressing the rough and tough image around being a man is a key factor in understanding domestic violence. And one very important aspect of this is the hardness that men develop in their bodies and the insensitivity that goes with it. Men are conditioned from a very young age to be tough, to not cry, to be insensitive and physiologically this means holding hardness in their bodies. Over the years I have been observing the effects the ‘Silly Season’ has on our health. IT JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME – neither personally nor professionally.
It is supposedly the festival of Love – just for one day, but I see more unloving things and effects then, than at any other time of the year. So this is what I see every year – year after year – and nothing is changing! Continue reading “The Silly Season and its Effects on Health”
