Healing cardiovascular disease with medicine and love

By Mike Stevenson, Retired, Sandhurst UK,

In March 2015 I enjoyed attending the Universal Medicine Retreat in Vietnam, during which we were introduced to the concept of constellations with people and events in and throughout our lives. Little did I realise at the time how I would benefit from an important constellation that occurred towards the end of the event.

Midway through the celebration dinner I started to feel very ill, experienced severe vision problems and subsequently went into a state of collapse.

Attending the dinner were several students of Universal Medicine who were also Medical Doctors and they immediately came to my aid and sent for an ambulance.

In spite of my body going into shock, I felt no fear or anxiety, even though I heard them saying that my pulse was weak and my heart rate had dropped very low.

As I lay on the ground with my legs elevated, Serge Benhayon came and placed his fingertips on my head and shoulder and I felt a great sense of warmth permeating throughout my body and I was very much at ease with what was happening and felt no sense of panic or fear at all. I knew I was in safe hands. After a few moments, my pulse and heart rate picked up and apparently returned to normal.

I was taken to the hospital, where the local doctors could find no reason for my problem, and I was discharged the following morning feeling very well.

On returning home I underwent various medical tests, which were initially reported as normal, but a short time later, further investigation would show this was not exactly true!

A couple of weeks after returning home there were signs of another similar impending collapse and I found myself loaded into an ambulance once again. I was extensively examined by several doctors: after an ultrasound check, a large AAA (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm) was discovered, which could have proved fatal at any time, without warning.

With no sign of any heart or brain damage found, surgery to repair the aneurysm took place a couple of days later.

My operation was performed after an epidural injection in my back to numb the lower part of my body. For five hours I watched the whole procedure on a screen . . .. the best TV show ever and totally fascinating to watch from start to finish!

Returning to the ward, it hit me that I needed to change my life around; that the onset of my illness was a kick in the backside, unmistakably letting me know that the time to change was now.  Aha! A realization came that this was the ‘love adjustment’ Serge had referred to as I was first taken off to hospital in Vietnam.

Over the next ten months I was in and out of the hospital for tests, scans, X-rays, seeing numerous consultants and having various procedures done that the surgeons had found necessary on reviewing my tests.   It was discovered there were problems with the electrical circuitry and blood supply to my heart and over the next year, several stents were inserted into various coronary arteries.

Throughout all this I felt supported and looked after by God, the Hierarchy and my wife!

Every day I could feel their presence when asking for them to be with me, especially during all operations and procedures, but I definitely ‘got the word’ that the time had come to return to being more loving and appreciative of myself and others.

By choice, I stopped drinking alcohol and eating high sugar products, and by doing so, my body began to re-adjust and shed excess weight. I feel so much calmer in my self with these changes – I have more energy, am no longer breathless, my sleep quality has improved and there is a feeling of a stronger inner foundation and joy in my life.

Being able to tune in with God and the Hierarchy was absolutely magical, as was the assistance of Serge’s books, affectionately known in our house as the Purple Books, or ‘Purple Paddington Bear’. These books are filled with love and feel so lovely that just holding one of these books helped me in my recovery to where I am today – feeling well and cleared for air travel again.

This has been a great opportunity to make more self-loving choices in my life and it has also deepened my relationships with others.

I have since returned to Vietnam in March 2017 and on this occasion I was able to enjoy both the Retreat and the amazing celebration dinner that I was unable to fully enjoy last time!

  1. I can so relate to what you have shared Mike, your experience of an inner foundation and joy to life. The feeling of being steadier and less influenced by outside happenings that try to come into my mind and overwhelm me back into nervous tension. I can see/feel when this is happening and not let the overwhelm take hold, but lovingly hold myself and let the thoughts wash through me and out of my body with no attachment.

  2. Since being involved with Universal Medicine I’ve become a lot more cooperative with any illness or condition that occurs. Rather than just ignoring it and pushing through, or wishing it’d go away so I can go back to living normal life, or playing the victim, I am much more inquisitive about why it’s occurred on an energetic level and so much has changed as a result.

  3. Mike, to experience such a huge thing onto our bodies, once upon a time, I would assume, fear and anxiety would have set in. And yet in your sharing, you felt none of these and not only during the emergency but throughout the time you went through investigations, surgeries etc. You were taken care of and reading this made me realise that if we truly surrender into our bodies, we are taken care of, by placing trust in yourself and others too.

Modern medicine is so remarkable nowadays and I love the combination. Universal Medicine presents that we can combine healing, it brings to our awareness that the wisdom resides in our bodies and there is always an energetic component to our illnesses, if we are open to this.

  4. It is amazing when we allow ourselves to be so open and surrendered and all that has always been there finally becomes a part of our make-up, and our sense of self expands and becomes so inclusive.

  5. A beautiful reminder to keep on deepening the love we have for ourselves and others. Thank you Mike

  6. Sometimes it takes a dramatic incident with our health to wake us up to the preciousness of life and the love on offer.

  7. I can appreciate that moment when you returned to the ward and realised that it was time to change. But what is really beautiful is reading how you have embraced that moment of clarity.

  8. What a wake-up call. Being at the retreat that year and being in the right place at the right time. After all, there are no accidents. So, well done for heeding the warning.

    1. Julie, I call these the ‘stop’ moments. If we put it into perspective, it is a moment where nothing around us matters, and when the microscope is upon us only and everything around us is just matter, then nothing matters and it is only about you and your body.

  9. Mike Stevenson, you were in the right place at the right time. Through so many lifetimes has your path, constellated to come to the point where you were able to experience what you experienced… Amazing.

  10. We have much to appreciate from the unseen support from being held in the body of God. The Hierarchy are always there – we simply have to request their support to walk with us without us holding any expectations or dictates of outcomes.

  11. Mike, your story reminds us all that when we choose to bring more love into our lives (as you did with your attendance at the UniMed Retreat) our bodies may respond with a readjustment (even if this involves something like heart disease) to clear the emotional energy stored in our body which blocked the higher vibration of our soul to enter more fully and thus allow more love in to express from there.

    1. Michael what you are touching on here is that sometimes our bodies do need a readjustment as we have probably not been living in a loving way with ourselves and others. As a society is it possible we have placed too much emphasis on the need for financial security and making money than we have on looking after ourselves? We live such stressful lives that we block out any attempt to reconnect back to our soul as we do not live in a way that our soul can access our bodies as they are too stressed.

  12. In my experience, I have seen many people recognise the change that is required after a severe medical episode. And, also, often I see that what is made available to support this new perspective is not always wholly sustaining as there are many exercises and routines or regimes available today, but little in the way of that which truly and sustainably addresses the root cause of our illnesses and diseases. This is one of the many many reasons why Universal Medicine and especially Serge Benhayon, are so fundamentally brilliant – because, together, they offer some very real and practical tools for turning our lives around, for supporting that turn, and for never going back to old patterns of behaviour that have been healed.

  13. ‘Love adjustment’ – it totally makes sense that when we say yes to more love, it’s not just the mind saying that, it’s a body thing and we have to work with it to make sure that it is in a state that can house the love that we are saying yes to.

    1. Fumiyo I agree with you that when we say yes to more love with our bodies and not with our minds, then adjustments do occur. I am going through a phase of adjustment myself. After years of being in self-protection my body is releasing the nervous tension which is an uncomfortable feeling, but it is allowing me to connect to the grandness of the universe which is magical. What is even more magical is that we all have this ability to reconnect to the universe we have just lost, like me the connection, but it’s there in each and every one of us.

  14. A beautiful testimony for the wisdom of listening to our body and all it has to share with us.

  15. A great example of medicine working harmoniously together with being loving and caring with oneself.

  16. Beautiful to read how you knew you had to change your life choices, choosing not to drink alcohol is a big step and re-establishing a life filled with more loving choices has definitely seen your body change shape and feel lighter too.

  17. Amazing to hear Mike, that you were able to see this as an opportunity to deepening your understanding of illness and disease, and that there is a different way to live your life that deeply embraces you as the wonderful, lovely man that you truly are.

  18. What a beautiful transformation and testimony to the fact that our bodies are always calling us to live with greater love and harmony, and the less we listen the more intense the call, and when we do listen and honor this call we live with an enrichment and vitality that supersedes any resistance we indulge in.

  19. It is deeply inspiring simply to be around others who are living the truth of what they know for themselves highlighting that it is not what we do that matters but how we do it.

  20. “Throughout all this I felt supported and looked after by God, the Hierarchy and my wife!” Experiencing something such as this really does open up the possibility there is so much more at play in life than we care to realise. When we feel the depth of support and true love on offer in such a situation, there simply is no denying that there is more available to us than we could ever imagine.

  21. WOW it is incredible what we can achieve with medicine now ‘For five hours I watched the whole procedure on a screen . . .. the best TV show ever and totally fascinating to watch from start to finish!’ I don’t think I would want to watch a 5 hour procedure being done on me!!! Amazing how you have turned your life around ✨

  22. Our wonderful body offers us messages day in, day out, and if not listened to and acted on the messages just get louder and louder. But it seems we have become deaf to them, that is until we get stopped in our tracks and forced to listen. What a valuable lesson it would be for all children to learn to decipher these messages so that as they grow into adulthood these valuable messages from our body are not ignored but absolutely appreciated for the gift they are.

    1. The coincidence idea is just that, an idea that doesn’t allow us a moment to truly read that there is a lesson offered to us in every moment and the choice to say yes or no each time.

  23. Our good health really does come down to the nitty gritty of how much we are willing to take care of ourselves. When we start to neglect one area, then another and another gets affected, and so it begins to snowball unitl it is out of our control and we end up in a situation just as you did Mike. But what you are showing us here is that we can equally turn our health and vitality around if we are willing to bring that loving attention to the smallest detail of our own self care.

    1. Yes, it is amazing how much we can turn our life around even after developing major illnesses. No need to give up or to fight.

  24. It is like that, isn’t it – we keep pushing and think we are getting away with it and then there comes a point where we have to stop and listen, and how that stop moment gets brought about is just genius. We are so well looked after. Support is always given when asked for.

  25. ” I definitely ‘got the word’ that the time had come to return to being more loving and appreciative of myself and others.” It seems we are always being given opportunities to return to being more loving and appreciative of ourself and others and the situations that we find ourselves in. It is whether we take those or not that makes all the difference. Thank you for sharing Mike how you were able to truly make a difference when you ‘got the word”.

    1. Humanity has become so ‘off track’ that I would say that we’ve become derailed! We’re the living body of God, which in actual fact is love, living in a completely loveless way. Our current way of life is dedicated to lovelessness, even the bits where we think we’re actually being loving and the problem is that our reality has become so distorted that most people would scoff at what I’m saying as being total and utter rubbish, which is ok, it really is because believing in the truth is neither here nor there in so far as it doesn’t alter the truth, nothing does, truth remains truth regardless of whether it’s believed in, which is why I love it so much, it’s so totally and utterly absolute and resolute.

  26. “By choice, I stopped drinking alcohol and eating high sugar products, and by doing so, my body began to re-adjust and shed excess weight. I feel so much calmer in my self with these changes – I have more energy, am no longer breathless, my sleep quality has improved and there is a feeling of a stronger inner foundation and joy in my life.” The changes in you from just cutting out sugar and alcohol from your diet are striking Mike. Imagine if we all paid such detailed attention to what really supported our bodies with regard to what we put into them, and what did not. How much better would we feel, and no doubt our physical health would be vastly improved, potentially reducing enormously the need for medication and medical intervention.

  27. Sometimes we need a real stop in our lives to bring us to the realisation that the choices we are making are not supporting us, and it offers us space to reflect on those choices and an opportunity to change our choices for more loving ones, and as we notice the difference they bring we realise that our lives have changed forever.

  28. What Serge Benhayon presents is always a ‘love upgrade’ and I’ve experienced many times that for that upgrade to take place in my life, an illness or event occurs that rattles and wakes me up to my unloving ways. Once awake to it, it grates on me until I choose to make more loving choices.

    1. I love this … ‘a love upgrade!’ and it just keeps upgrading ✨ … question is are we upgrading with it!

      1. Yes.. when we’re offered a stop moment to change our lives around, do we fully make the most of it, or revert back to our old ways as soon as the danger moment is over? In my experience, the more I’ve made choices to deeply care for myself, the easier it has become to keep making those choices, because they become a new standard, a new ‘normal’. It’s so obvious (now, but wasn’t before) but the more I care for myself, the more everyone else is taken care of within that, because I’m less of a burden across the board, and more able to contribute more fully, to everything and every relationship that I’m part of.

  29. “This has been a great opportunity to make more self-loving choices in my life and it has also deepened my relationships with others.” – Beautiful how you describe this and the opportunity that you took to open up to a different way of being and living – a return to being more truly loving as you describe.

  30. It feels like the first Vietnam retreat you wrote about was a point were your body celebrated the love that was you and was knocking saying let me back in and your body responded with let me just make room, which you did over the next while as you changed and welcomed the love you are to radiate again, I loved reading of your miracle.

  31. Re-reading this blog I felt how beautiful it is to feel the support and care of God and the Hierarchy, and in your case also from your lovely wife. I love the process you’ve described how their presence has made you aware that you needed to do your bit to return to being more loving and appreciative of yourself and the ones around you. And you did!

  32. “I stopped drinking alcohol and eating high sugar products, and by doing so, my body began to re-adjust and shed excess weight.” The changes that occurred for you Mike when you gave up high sugar products is striking. I know for myself having given it up some years ago now, when I do I have something sweet, and it can even just be a piece of fruit these day, that my body immediately starts to feel racey and on edge and I am not able to concentrate in the same focussed way. Our bodies really are remarkable at showing us the impact of something that does not support them.

  33. As I revisit this blog I am aware of how much better I feel in my body having reduced my sugar intake significantly. These days I notice when I have had sugar – not when I haven’t had it – if that makes sense. When I have eaten sugar my body loses some of its innate equilibrium and harmony and I find that I feel much more in balance when I have not had it. This leads me to conclude that sugar is not a natural thing to put in to our bodies – because they feel more harmonious without it.

  34. ‘Love adjustments’ are definitely shakers of how a body got configured in ill ways. They are a clear sign that everything in us is pulling back to where we belong.

  35. Healing should always be ‘with love’; it’s not designed to be a fighting exercise, which is what we’ve made it in today’s society where we have to ‘struggle through’ a tough time with an illness rather than look at why and what that illness means, allowing ourselves space to reflect and get support.

    1. True Susie, this is what is ‘normal’ nowadays, to fight and struggle with the body, instead of a surrender to what our body is communicating and the opportunity to let go of ill patterns and behaviours and choose a different, loving way to be with our body.

  36. Wow Mike, what a very different perspective and real life example you have given us on how to approach the healing process – go you.

  37. I love reading stories like this as they bring so much sense to illness and disease. There must be a reason why we get ill and it is deeper than just our genetic make up or lifestyle choices.

  38. Thank you for sharing Mike I have read those ” Purple books ” as well what a God send.

  39. Amazing Mike – what Love can do! And it make sense… our physiology changes with our emotions. And true Love which has no emotion in it, is the Truth that the body naturally lives in.

  40. All of our bodies are constantly giving us ‘love adjustments’, not just those who have heart attacks or other major incidences. It’s a matter of whether or not we choose to listen and work with them.

  41. When we make the choice to let more love ‘in’ we are also making the choice to let more love ‘out’. Our lungs ignite with this breath and every cell in our body knows what to do in order to make the necessary adjustments to accommodate this breath in our body once again. Full bodied breathing at its finest.

  42. Isn’t it amazing how making a few changes to what we eat, drink or do can have such a huge impact on the body. The effects you’ve described of giving up alcohol are miraculous – could love and true self care be a perfect prescription for both physical and mental health conditions, in addition to medical treatment?

  43. When we allow the healing that comes to us, the adjustment needed is done. Our body always responds to love.

  44. When the body speaks loud, by way of an illness or disease symptoms, it is offers a great opportunity to make some ‘U-turn’ changes in our life. Nothing seems to get our attention as much as our body talking loudly.

  45. I love the way you appreciate the reflections offered and let the wisdom of your body lead the way. Thank you Mike.

  46. Our bodies really do show all of our choices and give us amazing opportunities to reflect and heal.

  47. We often hear of stories where people have had a serious heart condition and come out the other side with a renewed vigour for life, and especially with the aim to change their ways – it is a shame that we let it get to this point before we are willing to change, but at the same time, what a gift.

  48. What is so inspiring here is the readiness to change your lifestyle and a willingness to engage with medicine and address your health issues.

  49. I find it deeply inspiring to read of you embracing a near death experience and your serious ill health as an opportunity to make more self loving choices and deepen your relationship with yourself and others and ultimately transform your life for the better. The power of our choices is undeniable.

  50. There is so much more to true healing other than ridding ourselves of physical ailments and symptoms. The rates of re-occurring disease attest to this.

  51. I really enjoy reading this blog, there is a humble surrender to what is there to learn in life and opening up to the potential support available that is a joy to share in – Thank you.

  52. I love how you described your fuller engagement, vitality and appreciation of life Michael, when you tended more lovingly to your own body and lifestyle choices.

  53. I was interested in how your change in some lifestyle choices led to feeling more calm. We can often stimulate our nervous systems and load our bodies to such an extent that we are totally out of balance.

    1. I’d say our poor old nervous systems are almost constantly bombarded. They’re attacked by the food and drink that we consume, they’re targeted by all of the emotions that we feel and even in sleep they don’t get a true chance to settle. Most of us are living with very ‘jangled’ nervous systems and lots of us are on ‘high alert’ all of the time.

  54. Tears came to my eyes reading this today as a fellow brother returns to love and in appreciation of the incredible support on offer to us.

  55. It is interesting that the symbol of the heart is used in so many situations to represent love, however when it comes to illnesses and diseases of the heart, the subject of love, of how we love or how we feel loved is not generally considered by Conventional medicine. Serge Benhayon has brought this important factor to light, and how there is an innate connection between our physical and emotional health, not only with our hearts, but every part of our body, which is not just about the relationships we have with other people, but more significantly the relationship we have with ourselves.

  56. The only true healing ingredient is love, put that into medicine and we have a marriage made in heaven.

  57. In all the illustrations and description in society about ‘heart’ and its association with the expression or activity of ‘love’ … it makes quite common sense, even if it sounds too simplistic to some, that any issue or ailment of the heart is caused ultimately by the separation to love within our body.

  58. When it comes to healing there is so much more to heal than just the physical body.

  59. It is amazing to feel so supported, but especially to let this support in and to let it be all around you. It shows that you know that there is something valuable and worth cherishing inside, it is you.

  60. Beautifully shared Mike, and great that you understood the message your body was giving you so loud and clear, it is amazing how we are offered these opportunities yet so often either disregard them or refuse to hear what is being communicated to us.

  61. It is inspiring to feel the joy in the body when it goes into clearing the unsupportive patterns. I have shared your experience of Vietnam on both occasions and it is very beautiful to observe the love adjustment you made Mike.

  62. Your blog shows us all how the physical body, is the consequence of all our behaviours and choices we make in life. It appears that emotions affect the body as much as any physical bump – which is why it is important to deal with any hurts, anger, rejection etc… as well as make the choice to deepen self love and self care.

  63. I love seeing beyond just the physical manifestation of ill health and the opportunities this offers to understand life more deeply and take responsibility for our own wellbeing and relationship with life.

    1. Beyond our current worlds understanding yet basic in its expression – the act of love.

  64. A beautiful sharing Mike opening up to the love we are and that making loving choices really does change and heal our lives massively.

  65. It is to be celebrated Mike that you took your experience to be an opportunity to turn your life around, So many people would just want to be fixed and carry on as before. But you have opened to more responsibility which is absolutely gorgeous.

  66. I love the clarity with which you share the healing of your heart on all levels.

  67. Your blog shows how complete healing involves both the technology of conventional medicine and doing the work on ourselves – this which requires us to take a look inwardly and address issues, habits and patterns. The two approaches make a whole.

  68. It is incredible how many layers of protection we can pile onto our bodies in order to keep people out, wihtout even realising what we are doing. You are a wonderful example Mike of how it is possible to shed these layers, allowing yourself to be vulnerable enough to let others in to support you, and in doing so we get to see you in all your glory. How delightful that is, and what an inspiration you are. Thankyou for sharing your experience.

  69. Cardiovascular disease has a lot to do with whether we allow people in or not. Most of the world walks around protecting themselves from potential hurts when the truth is the protection that we put up and the way we hold each other out is what is in fact hurting us on so many levels.

  70. Once we say yes to the love that we are, our bodies need to readjust and discard that which has been lived that is not from truth in order to express more of the love as a natural way of being.

  71. ‘This has been a great opportunity to make more self-loving choices in my life and it has also deepened my relationships with others.’ How awesome that you could accept this situation with your heart and allow for a deepening of your healing on many levels.

  72. Mike what an incredible story you share, for so many people they would be at a dead end, given up and relying solely on the medical system to fix them. I love how you’ve embraced all that the medical system can offer and also gone what is my part, what can I do and the result is what we see in true healing.

  73. Beautiful Mike, you are such an inspiration to open up to love and all the amazing changes to one’s life this allows us, with an appreciation of life and others and a healing loving quality to our lives.

  74. I am interested how you describe you became calmer when you drop those foods that did not support you. Our bodies do not like agitation, stimulation and naturally know how to be in harmony and balance.

  75. How humbly and beautifully you have allowed yourself to heal and grow, really inspiring.

  76. The mere fact of the amazingness of what you have expressed here – must mean we truly are something special, magnificent and highly capable of great amounts of love and intelligence.

  77. Your story Mike could be the start of some qualitative research on how the relationship we have with ourselves, our choices and how this has changed – like a Before and After, (Pre and Post cardiac ailment) – has an affect on our heart health.

  78. Very true Shirley-Ann – when we choose to support ourselves we are able to appreciate the love and support that is always there for us.

  79. What a story Mike! Sometimes our bodies need to take radical action to bring our attention to what we are missing out on.

    1. If our bodies need to take radical action then it’s because we have treated them radically. Our bodies aren’t loose cannons that simply fire themselves off randomly, they are responsive to how we’ve treated them, they are a living reflection of our choices.

  80. This simple and beautiful article reflects so much love and care… what a process of awakening to go through at this stage in one’s life

  81. Wow such an inspirational sharing Mike and how you show that it is a choice to stay in what our bodies present us or to make different choices that are loving and supportive not only to ourselves but all those around us. Love is who we naturally are.

  82. A profound and inspiring story Mike. It really is incredible what is avaialable to us in the way of support and true healing when we are willing to surrender and allow true love in.

  83. This story and the many others I have heard from Universal Medicine students with cardio vascular disease should be widely reported. At best at the moment, we tend to manage disease, so that the symptoms and risks of further harm are reduced. But this is not health in my book. Healing the root cause, the underlying holding back of love is the key.

  84. You have illustrated so beautifully just how empowering it is to be open and willing to explore and understand the reasons our bodies are presenting with illness or disease. For in accepting responsibility for our choices, we develop our awareness of knowing what is loving and what is not, as such we embrace the power we hold to choose love over lovelessness.

  85. We can so easily see our body as dysfunctional and disappointing somehow, for having any kind of illness. It’s not performing the way we think it should – not delivering an easy optimum. But this is a great misunderstanding of its science, as you show us Mike it is actually perfectly set up to indicate to us the smallest step away from Love. Rather than getting frustrated with this, imagine a world where we embraced this amazing grace to heal and change we have in every cell?

  86. Holding back love either from not expressing it, or not letting it in, is a serious health hazard… It’s quite surprising, we haven’t made this link to heart problems world wide. Yet, until it was spelled out to me I hadn’t made the link either and it makes complete common sense!

  87. Your article exposes how much influence true love has on our body, concerning its wellbeing and health.

  88. From reading your blog you can see how significant a healing that has taken place because of identifying how past lifestyle and behaviour patterns have had an impact on the body and having medical intervention. Both approaches to the body – medical and patterns – offer a deeper and more complete healing.

  89. ‘Healing cardiovascular disease with medicine and love’ I love the title of your blog Mike and smiled as I imagined GPs around the world handing out prescriptions to their patients with the words ‘be love’ written on them.

  90. I love your term ‘love adjustment’. And I love that you are willing to make love adjustments. It speaks of the awareness you have come to, and how you are willing to act from this awareness.

  91. “…Returning to the ward, it hit me that I needed to change my life around; that the onset of my illness was a kick in the backside, unmistakably letting me know that the time to change was now….” This awareness brings a deeper, and perhaps a more complete healing aspect to a physical ailment / illness on the body.

  92. After receiving that “love adjustment” from Serge Benhayon I can feel that it would have been impossible for you to have returned to your old way of being once the medical part of your healing was complete; in fact making the choice to change the way you were living was such an important part of the healing process, which would have been incomplete without it.

  93. Choosing truth and love and opening ourselves up to healing is an amazing place to come to and the start of another way of being and living and I love your sharing “Throughout all this I felt supported and looked after by God, the Hierarchy and my wife!” Simply beautiful.

  94. Recognising that the life choices being made are not supportive and then changing them – this is true medicine. Seeking treatment from conventional and Esoteric medicine then supports our healing but isn’t the thing we are relying on to fix us without us taking any responsibility for our choices.

  95. We’re all getting ‘love adjustments’, all the time. We just think they’re illnesses and diseases. Well obviously they are that too, but first and foremost they’re a measure of how much love we’re living – or not.

  96. My father suffered from heart problems and eventually died of a heart attack. Throughout his life he had such difficulty opening to people or expressing love. He used to sing out his emotions, but this was from a place of pain and emptiness rather than love. It feels so sad that he was unable to open up and share himself or let others in. This was so evident in his body in the form of heart disease.

  97. What an extraordinary story yours is Mike, but at the same time there are more and more stories of people recovering from illness and disease thanks to Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine and all that it has to offer, that would previously have been unheard of. You sum it up beautifully with how you felt so supported by God and the Hierarchy (and not forgetting your gorgeous wife!)
“Every day I could feel their presence when asking for them to be with me, especially during all operations and procedures, but I definitely ‘got the word’ that the time had come to return to being more loving and appreciative of myself and others.”

  98. What you share here is important Shirley-Ann. Whatever the illness that presents itself to be healed, be it seemingly small or a surgery like Mike has been through, offers us all an incredible opportunity to heal lifetimes of momentums. Who are we to expect or demand how long this should take, and instead welcome with open arms the surrender that is being offered.

    1. Surrendering with open arms to an illness or an injury, especially when it’s either life threatening or terminal will be so much easier when we’re living the energetic truth of who we all are, but living as we currently are, under the illusion that we’re predominantly flesh and bones and not a lot else makes it nigh on impossible to surrender because we don’t want to ‘leave our families behind’. But in truth there is no such thing as ‘family’ or ‘behind’, there is only the united energetic consciousness of us all and never ever can we not be part of that whole.

  99. We so need to embrace all that medicine has to offer and yet we are always faced with the opportunity to review what may have contributed to our ill health or repeat the same ill choices again. It sounds like you Mike fully embraced the first option with wonderful outcomes, not only in terms of improved quality of life, but relationships as well.

  100. “For five hours I watched the whole procedure on a screen . . .. the best TV show ever and totally fascinating to watch from start to finish!”
I love your appreciation here Mike, this is a loud invitation for you to be involved in your recovery; to appreciate not only the intricacies of your own physiology but equally the skill & care of those treating you – appreciation is medicine!

  101. I love the relationship I am rekindling with God and the Hierarchy, it is so beholding of me and everyone else, warm, deep, innately loving…what is there not to enjoy and it is so humble and still and it is there always.

  102. Scrolling through this category section on ‘Client’s Perspectives’ is like scrolling through a list of miracles. Each story in itself, like yours Mike, is amazing, but reading down the list of now 76 blogs is hugely powerful and absolute testament to the wisdom, awareness and love that Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine have brought to humanity since 1999.

  103. It’s beautiful to read about this different approach to illness and disease. The marriage of Western Medicine coupled with self reflection is a heartwarming way to deal with a difficult situation. The most common approach I have seen to illness in the past has been shock or why me, or denial. I have also seen people rush to outside fixes, raw food, organic food, juices. Your calm and responsible attitude finds me feeling a sense that illness is a chance to heal and evolve, a chance to let go.

  104. A beautiful story to read Mike, with a very simple yet powerful message. A wonderful example of taking responsibility and choosing truth and love.

  105. It is amazing how we can caught up in the cycle of taking sugar to give us energy only to find our body yo-yo ing between the sugar highs and lows and piling on weight yet feeling more and more depleted. Great to read how dropping the high sugar foods including alcohol supported you with weight loss and more energy Mike.

  106. Beautiful story Mike. A wonderful living example of choosing love and choosing to listen to the awesome communication our body offers us.

  107. What a difference surrendering the body to Love, to skilled medical practitioners and medical technology has on the body. The body receives healing from all angles.

  108. ‘This has been a great opportunity to make more self-loving choices in my life and it has also deepened my relationships with others.’ – It is a great bonus that when we start to build a loving relationship with ourselves and by that, re-connect to the love that we innately are, this will naturally affect every other relationship we have.

  109. An amazing shift in your life and choices, and a real lightness even though the body was sharing all sorts of corrections with you. You can feel how true inspiration lights up the world, there are beautiful ripples of love, in this article.

  110. To feel the presence of God and the Hierarchy is incredibly supportive in our day. The connection to God felt in every cell in my body is a beautiful marker to know I am connected to everyone and everything.

  111. Wow this story should be on all the news and billboards, “Healing cardiovascular disease with medicine and love” totally amazing what you have shared here, no bells and whistles, because it was about you claiming and making other lifestyle choices that were loving, really amazing.

  112. Letting go of the ‘need to be’ anything other than who we innately are is empowering and healing to the body and to the mind – and allows for more open-heartedness.

  113. Wow and super cool and thank you. At a time when we seem to be giving up earlier and earlier, it is gorgeous to hear about the impact of stepping up and making different, and life changing, choices. Thank you, Mike.

  114. Thank you Mike for sharing this amazing experience, so close to it all being over for you, but with the “love adjustment ” or kick in the backside your soul was giving you, you were able to come back to true healing with the choice to make the loving changes that your soul was calling for. We are moment to moment held in such great love.

    1. So beautiful Jill, I have been given a ‘kick up the backside’ too Mike, grounded completely with back pain. ‘Love adjustment’ actually feels more of a pointer in the right direction. I can feel how it is a message from my soul teaching me how I was living in too much drive. The body shows us the way to live with and from love in so many ways to correct us from our wayward way of living, even if it has to give us big stop moments like these. It is great that we are listening.

  115. I would like to say a big thank you to all of the comments on the blog that I wrote. The love that comes through from each and every one is so heart warming along with the love that comes with it.
I send my love to each and everyone one of you.

  116. It is so simple isn’t it, the more we appreciate and love our selves the more we appreciate and love others and the quality of our relationships with self and others change.

  117. living proof that it is never too late to reconfigure our lives so that we can truly connect to who we are, start to evolve, really start to let go of some old patterns, to start to heal, and of course to prepare ourselves for our next big step.

  118. Allowing ourselves to surrender, let in the support that is around us is so important. I feel held in love, with God in every day life and in this I can never be alone, and I have begun to really appreciate how this expressed around me by others.

  119. What you have written is to me pure magic
“Being able to tune in with God and the Hierarchy was absolutely magical, as was the assistance of Serge’s books, affectionately known in our house as the Purple Books, or ‘Purple Paddington Bear’. These books are filled with love and feel so lovely that just holding one of these books helped me in my recovery to where I am today – feeling well and cleared for air travel again.”
It is music to my ears when we can fully claim that we are in tune with God and the Hierarchy that they do exist and they have always existed we have seemingly turned our backs on them by falling for false lies that we have bought into, and then we blame God and the hierarchy when things go wrong rather than looking at where we have gone wrong.

  120. These stop moments are truly an opportunity to reflect on how we are living and choose differently.

  121. Well Mike you have been given a major second chance, there is nothing like an illness and a good scare like that to make us see that some, or a lot of the choices we have been making or not making as the case may be are not entirely loving.

  122. To really let an illness be a stop to reflect on how you are living and then going there to change it, is something to deeply appreciate.

  123. Isn’t it interesting that we always associate the heart with love, whether it is experiencing or sharing our love for each other, or a broken heart for when our relationships break down. But despite this, there does not seem to be a connection let alone an understanding that any heart condition is initially triggered by the lack of true love in our lives because for one reason or another we have rejected true love for ourselves. This is what Serge Benhayon has so wisely and truthfully brought to the table. If the medical profession were to embrace this evolutionary approach to heart health care, the potential for change in the prevention of heart disease could be enormous. Thank you Mike for sharing your first hand experience and what is possible when you choose to look at your life in a different way.

  124. Mike, I love the simplicity of your sharing such a personal and profound experience, it can be very confronting to be faced by such a physical ailment yet you came at it with a deeper understanding, as this is what our bodies offer us – communicating to us – trying to show us something about how we are living to how we could be living. In this case, it is about living the great LOVE that you, we are and when we do it changes the quality of our lives and in that, we naturally adjust our lifestyle to support our quality.

  125. So great you adjusted your life style to what was needed for you to take responsibility for your healing, as well as getting the support from medicine, God, hierarchy and your wife. Great team effort, with a great outcome.

  126. It is a joy to re-read your appreciation of the support you received Mike, with your illnesses and recovery. What a love bomb you had from everyone involved. We get the messages from the body and how we deal with them is the key to our recovery. Whatever the outcome, there is a healing for whatever we need, with the combination of Universal Medicine and Western Conventional Medicine working together.

  127. I Love your ‘love adjustment’ Mike– says it all about how the body responds to the energy we live with.

  128. It makes so much sense that love has to be a part of healing – true healing – because we come from love, we innately know love… it is our essence and who we are by divine design.

  129. This is a great example of how western medicine and esoteric medicine can work together… and proof that they do work very well together – when the client takes responsibility for their part as well.

    1. Responsibility being the key word here… not a burden but an incredible opportunity to get into our own driving seat and and commit wholeheartedly to the road ahead.

  130. To be the love that we all innately are and equally to truly open up and let love in, is the most profound healing we can ever give to ourselves.

  131. You were definitely cared for and loved when you were ill on those occasions, Mike, so you knew deep in your heart, that whatever happened, you would be cherished. This is the support we know is for us all, we are never alone, and the healing you received was a great marker for you to remember in your body.

  132. Mike it is lovely to read your story and also a great reminder how much support we all have – the key is just allowing and embracing it more and more.

  133. “Love adjustments” come in many shapes, sizes and often when we least expect it (i.e. a retreat diner). The more love that I pour into my body, the more adjustments seem to occur. This defines and proves to me that there is a direct correlation between energy, self-care and the physical body and the subtle and not so subtle changes that occur are exquisitely scientific.

    1. …and, that these subtle changes in the physical body resulting from self care are poignantly significant to cellular physiology and cellular health.

  134. This blog really shows the difference between trying to fix something and receiving a healing and shows how big a difference the patient can make.

  135. Indeed it is never too late to start making self loving choices and honour the body we have, you are a total testament to that Mike.

  136. I think it’s great how you saw that there was and is a potential to be more loving and appreciative of yourself and others – and how it’s a return to our most natural way of being rather than something that needs to be forced.

  137. What an amazing journey into true love and living this with your body in all its magic and healing quality. Love is the healer of all and the true flow harmony and vitality for our selves, our body and our connection to the all.

  138. I have also found the purple books to be such a support in challenging situations, there is something about these books in that each word, each page, the colour, the symbol on the front, that offers all that are open great reflection and healing.

  139. What a great healing all around Mike. Love is a universal medicine that can be found within . . . sometimes it takes an episode like this to rediscover ourselves and the love that we are. Great sharing Mike.

  140. How wonderful Mike that you have now embraced life fully – that the quality of life has increased as you make changes to support your body back to full health.

  141. What we feel is truth, are we at ease, do we feel supported? Before we buy into any emotion from such alarming responses from the body, have we felt what the true message is, and have we then honored these messages?

  142. A great read, felt like this was an inspiring account of deciding to make different choices in life and taking more responsibility for ourselves, and how this impacts on how we experience life. This article feels playful and full of joy and real appreciation of a new focus in life. – Thank you.

    1. Yes Samantha and it achieves this while talking about a life and death subject.

    2. Absolutely Samantha! A very playful, joyful and inspiring article. You are incredible Mike.

  143. Gold sharing Mike. The beauty of going through a medical episode with not a burden but with healing – inspiring.

  144. I observe within me and my surroundings, that often illness and disease gives a stop to one’s day to day life and asks for more healthy and loving choices. The question is: why have we to wait until illness grasps us before we make changes and choose differently?

  145. Mike to me when you share “This has been a great opportunity to make more self-loving choices in my life and it has also deepened my relationships with others.” it confirms to me what life is all about.

  146. It saddens me to see increasing numbers of people struggling with their bodies, overweight, in pain, with chronic health conditions, unaware of how they got there and the potential they have to bring health back to their bodies. Most are in survival mode and have learned to live with it, however painful it may be. Our responsibility is to connect to them in their essence and offer another way, simply by our own reflection and choices. We must never judge them.

  147. How willing is our body to clearly indicate what it needs? I love this testimony of a man that had the courage to take responsibility for his part in the state of his body. I deeply appreciate this sharing as we as men are often in complete ignorance of the delicacy our body holds and is longing for. Loving and being loved starts with an open inner-heart. Mike is a living example of the power of loving choices. Thank you Mike!

  148. When we live a life of love, our body has the most incredible ability to inspire healing in others.

  149. Love is the cure to all things, we have stepped so far away from what is our true essence, Love. It is innately within us, so to be living in a way that is totally disconnected to this, has to have an effect on our physical bodies. It makes sense when we look the continual rise in ill-ness and dis-ease.

    1. Well said Natalie – we are trying to live as something that we are not designed to be – it makes perfect sense that this is not going to work.

  150. I love the magic in the phrase ‘love adjustment’ to describe the process of healing.

    1. The surrendering to the adjustment is a great appreciation of how much you were willing to adjust to bring more of the true you for everyone to enjoy and feel.

  151. Surrendering to the Love of God – how amazing Steve that you allowed / chose to completely surrender when you were in severe ‘danger’ of losing your life. Being held is the most precious feeling I know. This sharing for me is absolute Gold and shows to never give up. And that we do have a say in returning to the Love that we are, including accepting the support of people close to us.

  152. When we are open to why something is the way it is with no pictures or ideals about how it should be for us, in other words accepting what is and deal with it, that naturalness that love is, can take over and healing can truly take place.

    1. So true Julie, when we make choices from openness, acceptance and appreciation, they feel infinitely more simple and easy.

  153. From what I understand your choices have turned out to be life changing Mike – how uplifting is that in a world where the trend is the complete opposite and where illness and disease is at an alarming rise.

  154. Our human body is such a miracle, though we often forget to treat it as such! And hence this is our learning, to grow and to adopt a way of living that honours the miracles that we are.

  155. How beautiful to have experienced being in such a safe space despite an emergency situation. How different would our recoveries be if all emergencies were held in such a space whilst be attended to by medical staff?! Amazing possibilities we are looking at here that may one day be a reality for many more and not just a limited number of people!

  156. The multi pronged approach to your recovery and well-being is such a lesson for all of us. Whilst modern medicine is superb in what it can do to help us, it is absolutely not the whole answer. We need to be looking wider and deeper at the root causes and a more unified method of self care.

  157. We need to meet the medico’s half way and bring our own responsibility to lifestyle changes and then we have the best opportunity for healing.

  158. Great will be the day when we go and see a health professional and they tell us to love more, appreciation more, be more ourselves whilst dispensing whatever medication is needed.

  159. I have to say it made me laugh – I can see how it is a great gift and then I think mmm, that all came from a retreat in Vietnam which was supposed to be relaxing! It really turns on its head what healing is because you have an opportunity to truly live the rest of your life, not just get by. I am inspired.

  160. For many the experiance you describe would have been the most stressful, traumatic experiance of their lives – especially when the doctors couldnt originally find an issue – we so often blame and get anrgy at the limitations of modern medicine as if doctors are super human and should be able to just know what is wrong.

  161. I love how the title of this blog talks of ‘healing’ as an active thing. You have taken responsibility for your health and discovered what works for you. There is no passive element to this. Neither medicine or healing modalities can work without the active involvement of us at the centre of it.

  162. Everything is perfectly constellated – not only the timing of our illnesses and the meeting of people who can support us, but all the negatives too which, viewed dispassionately, can be seen to be events with enormous healing capacity.

  163. The phrase, ‘healing with love’ is absolutely divine, because medicine is so much more than operations and chemical pills and can be a total reconfiguration of how our body works, we move, our relationships etc.

  164. “For five hours I watched the whole procedure on a screen . . .. the best TV show ever and totally fascinating to watch from start to finish!” It is quite astonishing what western medicine can do for our bodies today, but in contrast the sad fact is that we, humanity, are getting sicker. What is so impressive here Mike is that you have picked up your side of the deal. Western medicine can do its bit for you, but the real healing comes in recognising and implementing true and beneficial change in your life so that you can maximise the incredible work and care the medics have given you.

  165. We do not fight disease or ignore it, we work with it collaboratively, to deepen our understanding of the condition and the wisdom it brings. This is what you did Mike, Your commitment to go beyond conventional medicine, honestly look at how you were living, means you took responsibility for what was happening. Bringing love and appreciation to your medicine box was a profoundly wise choice.

  166. When we look at the statistics with heart related conditions, ill-ness and dis-ease then it is pretty clear that we are living in a way that is shutdown and disconnected to our inner heart. That quality of Love that is innate truth and we have created walls of protection thinking we are looking after ourselves but it creates a shut down in the body. This is loud and clear and with changes that you made Mike it is very inspiring that there is another way. Amazing thank you.

  167. The straight forwardness and simplicity with which you share these life changing events is very inspiring, Mike – making the miracles and learning on offer every day very normal, which is as they are.

  168. Love, not the romantic emotional love but love that means we are not just loving and self caring, but bring a truth and honesty to the way we live in relationship with everything… This honesty and truth (Love) is medicine the body, to the cells and particles changing their vibration, allowing the body to emanate harmoniously and joyfully – and this makes all the difference to our health and state of being.

  169. This is a great example of combining lifestyle changes that comes from the heart with medicine. Without our changes to be ‘more loving and appreciative’ of ourselves and others, we place an unrealistic burden on medicine and doctors to fix us. No wonder suicide rates are climbing and well above the average in society.

  170. Great combination, medicine and love, imagine if all illness and disease was treated this way.

  171. I can imagine it may have been quite surreal to watch the operation on the screen but also a great opportunity to appreciate the miracle of our human body.

  172. So often we can feel at the mercy of our illnesses and the treatments they require, but when we bring in the big picture and awareness of what is happening and why we can surrender to the treatments and healing that is needed.

    1. When we focus on the procedure and that alone, we don’t appreciate the wider healing that can take place with the understanding of how the body has responded to arrive at this point.

    2. In the surrender it feels so much more can open up to be released and the allowing of the support to come in. Otherwise I know for me, I brace against a health situation, tense up in my body, close down in my thoughts and therefore limiting what is available.

  173. Mike, thank you for sharing your story, ‘Returning to the ward, it hit me that I needed to change my life around; that the onset of my illness was a kick in the backside, unmistakably letting me know that the time to change was now’, it often seems to be this way, that it takes illness and disease to stop us, we then have a choice, we can carry on with the disregard when we are recovered or we can make loving changes in our lives, our bodies are amazing at showing us how we are living.

  174. It seems that whatever we are presented with in life, there is always an opportunity for us to evolve from it somehow – if that is our intention and we are willing to look for the opportunity. Events big and small contain offerings for us to learn and I find a new richness in life because of this.

  175. Mike seeing you over the past few years its amazing to see the changes in you, the depth of embracing the work, embracing loving yourself and making changes that reflect that love. Very inspiring in that it shows what true care and true humbleness is all about.

  176. It is truly marvellous what modern medicine can do and many lives can be extended through its expertise and knowledge but what Mike is adding here is the power of our own medicine and taking responsibility for our own health so that we understand fully why we became ill in the first place and what changes we need to make to how we live to completely heal the condition at its root cause.

  177. “This has been a great opportunity to make more self-loving choices in my life and it has also deepened my relationships with others.” True healing empowers us to fully transmute our behaviours that lead to our illness in the first place, so that our recovery leads us onto new ground rather than returning to the old. So amazing to hear Mike that you have come out of this experience blessing what you have gained, rather than lamenting the loss of the old ways.

  178. These “love adjustments” can be very bodily and result in illness and disease. When properly understood their purpose can only be welcomed and appreciated and feel blessed, while not being in this understanding we are wondering why we got these illness and feel condemned by it.

  179. “These [Purple] books are filled with love and feel so lovely that just holding one of these books helped me in my recovery to where I am today – feeling well and cleared for air travel again” – Mike this is so wonderful to hear about your recovery, and agree those purple books by Serge Benhayon have a living multi-dimensional resonance about them, they ‘speak’ to you even when they’re not being read, and when being read it’s like a whole new sound is opening up from within the pages.

  180. We can ‘get the word’ so many times in our life and not listen to it. I am always blown away how life continues to support us to come back and live more from who we truly are.

    1. Yes, we do get that re-turned opportunity time and time again, to go deeper or address avoided issues when ‘love comes knocking on our door’ – the body’s way of saying… ‘Come on, it’s time to get real and true…’

  181. Making choices such as cutting out sugar and stopping drinking alcohol is an amazing way to support your body in the healing process

    1. Same for me Adam, this is not a TV show I would stay awake for. But you never know, as I have not been in this situation, how I then would feel about it. Watching your own operation though can be a healing on its own.

  182. I love the heading as the heart is the symbol of love. How can it ever heal without love and yet how often do people with heart disease apply love to heal their heart?

  183. You have been well looked after by the medical profession Mike, but I’m inspired to read how you have made changes to take your self-care to a deeper level. Its just goes to show that when we work with the doctors and do our bit, we can really heal on every level, not just the physical.

  184. Having 2 years in between these retreats and feeling the difference within yourself is such a great marker to feel just how much you have changed in your life. Much to appreciate Mike.

  185. Being self loving with ourselves opens up our relationships with others. When I am not being self loving -aka abusive- I am that way with others because I am not expressing love. If it’s not love than I’m expressing it can only be what is not love and unloving that is being communicated through me. There is no neutral.

  186. What a beautiful and immense healing Mike, and so great that you could surrender and appreciate all that was offered. That is a healing in itself.

  187. What a trio of carers, God, the Hierarchy and your wife. Stellar support!

  188. As the amount of love that I feel increases I am becoming more and more aware of the pressure that we have to continually place on our bodies in order to suppress it. The fact that ‘looking for love’ is a modern pre occupation is ridiculous beyond measure. What an elaborate facade we have concocted!

  189. It makes so much sense when the heart is all about love, that it is the lack of love that harms, and it is love that will heal.

  190. What a huge healing on many levels Mick, so cool you allowed the support from others and you supported yourself by stopping drinking and eating high sugar content foods. Many do not take this level of responsibility for themselves and wonder why they do not truly heal.

  191. This is a great example of how medicine and esoteric healing and client responsibility all work together for true healing. Thank you Mike for sharing … it is very inspiring to read.

  192. It is incredible how easily and how quickly our bodies readjust when we take responsibility for our health and make self-loving choices.

  193. Michael the next time you want a healing session with Serge please ask it is much simpler! On a more light hearted note it is so glorious to see you doing so well and make some positive changes towards better health. The surgery along with the Esoteric Healing seems to be working wonders for you.

  194. It’s very heartening to read about the loving and prompt care you received both in the national health system as soon as you arrived home, and by the medics and healing practitioners at the retreat.

  195. It is a great point of healing when we recognise that our illnesses are not random, inconvenient events in our life but loving corrections delivered by our soul.

  196. It is really lovely to appreciate the support from God, the Hierarchy and loved ones in times of need or illness. We can feel quite vulnerable when our health is at risk, like the carpet has been swept from under our feet and normal may never be the same normal we previously knew. But it is good to feel that, because it confirms what we already know, we have so much support when we ask for it.

  197. What I find inspiring about this is how chilled you were Mike about your heart pretty much packing up, and the trust that you had that it would all be okay and that you would know what to do and how to heal. As in life there are on ever two options: fight against what is happening or surrender to it, not in a powerless apathetic way, but in a way where we surrender to whatever lesson is there for us to learn, taking full responsibility for ourselves and the situation we’ve created.

  198. I am truly inspired Mike by your willingness to go there and to explore the root cause of your heart condition and the commitment you show in turning things around.. Seriously inspired!

  199. How fascinating that you got to see your own operation on a screen while it was happening.

  200. “Returning to the ward, it hit me that I needed to change my life around; that the onset of my illness was a kick in the backside, unmistakably letting me know that the time to change was now.” How amazing Mike that you were able to understand your condition in this way, and what’s more to make a conscious choice to begin to make changes in your life that would support a true healing for you. It is more common to find that on getting sick, the focus is on getting back to life as it was rather than seeing it in this way, and not having the understanding that is exactly because of how ‘life was’ that the condition occurred in the first place.

  201. It is very humbling to connect with the support that is available to us when we allow it. We are so very deeply loved.

  202. Well said Doug – sometimes in the letting go of a way of living that has held the body in disease, it can cause the issue to rise to the surface to be cleared.

  203. With heart disease being one of the major illnesses, if not the top disease of humanity, your blog offers a greater understanding of why heart problems are so prolific. Without love being at the forefront of our lives, we close down our heart and stop the circulation of love throughout the body. We come from love. We are innately loving and to live anything less than this affects the body.

  204. “Throughout all this I felt supported and looked after by God, the Hierarchy and my wife!” Beautiful to become aware of and appreciate the invisible love that we are continually held in Mike. God’s love is ever lasting and our real healing comes when we can feel his love for us and begin to express the depth of this love for our selves and for everyone in our lives.

  205. Heart conditions are bound to be connected to love – how much we let out and how much we let in. And in time that shall be widely known and accepted as something that every child knows – just like the fact that the earth is round and not flat.

  206. I can very much relate to what you say about simply holding one of the Purple Books and feel the impact that they have. Quite extraordinary and not like any other books I have ever come across.

  207. When we surrender to what illness has to offer the depth can be mind blowing. What I’m learning is, the more I choose to deepen and accept illness as an offering the more expansion I feel within. It’s been blowing me away what illness has been offering, always it’s another level of love that is on offer.

  208. I have had that same feeling of warmth and deep steadiness in my body – when Serge Benhayon on the other side has said he will be there with me, not those exact words, when going through some tough situations. There was a feeling of absoluteness in my body – not one ounce of anxiety, a simple steadiness. Of which I contributed to too.

  209. An amazing example of the amazing skills doctors offer as well as a man who’s humble enough to see his part in creating the illness. This is super inspiring as we’re as men often too scared and closed from our hearts that we don’t want to see the choices that we (might have) made away from our loving essence. To me this is anecdotal evidence that has the potential to support men (and women) to start making different choices. Starting to accept that we (too as men) are part of a stupendous love that unites us all!

  210. The adjustments that our body is able to make when we are treating it with love and true care never stops to amaze me.

  211. It is incredible to hear how at a time of such need well qualified and experienced people were at hand and also Serge Benhayon who was also there to support – One can not doubt the Hierarchy from reading your story Mike.

  212. It is the perfect combination – taking responsibility for our physical and energetic state of being, providing the platform for true change

    1. Responsibility for our energetic state is the the added magic that brings change and healing.

  213. Mike, I love the way you described Serge Benhayon’s books with much appreciation and love. They are incredible books that are absolutely inspirational, divine and multidimensional. When I read any page twice or three times I feel the multi layers of wisdom is coming through.

  214. So inspiring to hear that you paid attention to what your body was telling you and took the opportunity to turn your life around. Sadly this is often not the case and the irresponsibility of falling back into old habits that only lead to more illness and disease is far too common.

  215. “By choice, I stopped drinking alcohol and eating high sugar products, and by doing so, my body began to re-adjust and shed excess weight.” It is quite amazing just how easily our body loses weight when we stop consuming these things. It shows us very clearly the real effect of alcohol and sugar.

  216. A beautiful story Mike of the healing power of the combination of orthodox medicine and true Love.

  217. Mike this is an intense experience which could easily be spun into an emotional drama, I am struck by the steadiness of your words, it’s clear to feel the unwavering support you have been offered and in turn how this has been the cornerstone of your healing – a blessed love adjustment indeed.

  218. This is such a beautiful example of how taking responsibility for our choices and how in getting the right support we can heal and come back from all our conditions, including the severe ones, as in this case. A very powerful testimony to raw honesty and an openness to heal.

  219. Yes, if something is not functioning properly for a long period of time it makes sense that there may be a period of readjusting to occur if we change our ill choices. It may not be what we want to face as it is a reflection of our past but facing our choices gives us the opportunity to heal.

  220. Serge’s books have also offered me huge support through challenging times as they bring me back to the truth.

    1. That they do Fiona, and truth brings us back to our connection with God and the grandness we all come from.

  221. When we truly allow ourselves to feel what is happening and sense with all that we are, life is very different from the way our minds portray things. This is certainly my experience anyway. I find that what I feel and sense is more true to life and it is a real blessing to return to this way of being.

  222. Beautiful and simple Mike. I was there at the March 15 retreat and could see you had fallen into the safest possible hands there were (and so many incredibly well qualified, caring and beautiful people to support. But what I really love about this blog is that you have taken that next step, and brought that care to yourself and how you live – that is the responsibility that we all need to take to lead a truly fulfilling life.

  223. Beautiful what you shared, a heart condition is very common thing, it makes sense how many people don’t let love in or out and have a protection layer. I have known many people with heart conditions for this same reason. It’s great Mike that you allowed yourself to open up to love.

  224. Beautiful story Mike, loved reading every word of your ‘love adjustment’ in Vietnam.. and continuing until today.

  225. What a truly inspiring blog of what has been offered and your willingness to surrender and say yes to returning to the natural way of being. Thank you Mike for sharing this gold as your response of saying YES is often buried and not addressed by many. This has inspired me to re-read this blog often and appreciate how this can support us all in our steps towards living more of the love we know we truly are.

  226. Everyone needs cardiovascular support, the way we have built up this world and how we interact with everyone has become a complete and utter function. Reverting back to the inner pulse from our inner heart where the cardiovascular is getting its source from this is what will change the world. Love.

  227. Your description of feeling completely safe and in good hands in Vietnam at the retreat is so lovely, feeling held whilst also hearing that your heart rate had dropped very low is quite something. Wouldn’t it be incredible if everyone had this amount of support and love surrounding them when faced with a serious illness?

  228. When we really stop to think about it and feel the truth of the matter, there could be no more perfect medicine for the heart than love. It makes common sense…combined with medical treatment it seems this offers the perfect healing.

  229. Who know what the depth of true healing is all about, because for me what Mike is talking about is divine magic. The medicinal miracle that happened on the operating table was made possible by the miracle at Vietnam. When the true miracle is the way Mike has taken healing into his body so that his health is in his own hands.

    1. I agree with you Greg, that the medical miracle is when we become a partner in the treatment, rather just the patient getting fixed from our ill choices.

      1. So true Steve there is no use crying over spilt milk, when it comes to our own health it is empowering to take responsibility for our way forward in our true energetic healing.

  230. Each and every disease is there to reflect something back to us, and in this case Mike, you have beautifully acknowledged the opportunity you were offered through cardiovascular disease.

  231. Healing our heart through love and loving ourselves. Wow! Isn’t this a testimony of the power of our love as well as how void our society is of true fiery love. Thank you Mike for writing so openly, honestly and tenderly about your remarkable experiences. To me this is an invitation to all men to share their own experiences in life. I make a bow for you.

  232. It is somewhat contradictory and in many ways crazy how we all want to be love and to be loved at the end of the day and all know how gorgeous this is. Yet we are the ones keeping our hearts closed and protected from ourselves and others. We then complain about the high cardiovascular related illnesses and diseases and we have been the ones creating it in the first place.

  233. What strikes me here is the enormity of asking for support. We have all the support all of he time – and I love what is presented here about being open to this. Wow Mike it seems you have gone through a very intense process – but at he same time your body is simply communicating to you in a big way.

  234. It makes sense that our bodies need to find ways to adjust and heal as we grow and heal within.

  235. An amazing story Mike, the relationship between the health of our heart and blood vessels and our ability or willingness to love and be loved is a very clear one. It is a wonder to me that it is not more widely medically talked of when it comes to the management of cardiovascular diseases.

  236. When you think about it cardiovascular disease can only be representative of the amount of love we resist. Our heart centre can be open or closed, and if it is closed then the physical organ of the heart cannot function properly. If it is open everything can flow. It’s a no brainer.

    1. I love this explanation Rebecca, it makes understanding the link between our physicality and our choices very clear.

      1. …and this is the link that is missing in modern medcine and also in the understanding of the general public. Even though it is actually very clear there seems to be a blind spot and a resistance to seeing beyond the physical symptom.

    2. Yes I agree Rebecca, and no wonder heart disease is so high globally because many of us are resisting love in all areas of our lives.

  237. After reading your story Mike, it seems quite evident that as the cardiovascular system is all about the heart, for any deep healing to occur, it would have to involve Love… a surrender to, an acceptance of, and a not-holding-back-of-love in any way this is expressed in our body. This certainly has to be a fundamental link to restoring ‘ease’ and Flow in a ‘cardio-dis-eased’ body, in conjunction with medical technology. Thank you for sharing your transformation.

  238. This is brilliant Mike, a light and loving sharing about a topic which is quite serious! Your ability to feel the Love of God, The Hierarchy and your Wife and ask yourself the inner question of what change is needed is truly amazing and a much needed step for all to learn from.

    1. Harry beautifully summarized, it certainly is exactly how we should all approach life and how we look after ourselves, not looking at how much we can push ourselves but perhaps taking the approach of what is needed to care for my body to allow the full expression of my soul. A different question that would no doubt have very different practical outcomes.

  239. If we want true and real love in our lives we need to prepare our bodies to handle that love. In that vein, ‘corrections’ will come and go, as the body readjusts and we go under a constant review of what we’re choosing – loving and not so loving.

  240. This just shows the importance of taking heed of our prior choices and what the body is telling us and going forward with total dedication to our own health and wellbeing because the person that can help us the most is us.

    1. So true Kevin, we are the responsible adult when it comes to our life choices.

  241. Mike, I was with you when you did fall down on the celebration dinner and also saw you the year after and can clearly say: yes, there has happened some ‘love adjustments’ for sure! To see how you have changed is incredible. Beautiful learning about how our body ticks…in the rhythm & reflection of true love.

  242. I loved your sharing of the purple books and how just simply holding them supports you, it activated a deeper appreciation in me of what we have been offered and to take this connection deeper to what is a known truth to be fully appreciated and lived.

    1. True Vanessa, appreciation has to be there, it like the mortar between the building blocks.

  243. It’s great that you recognised the call to make adjustments to your way of living because of your health and could then be truly accepting of the full healing on offer, as opposed to just getting better to repeat the same patterns.

  244. Mike the missing ingredient in most medicine or treatments is Love, and in that firstly understanding what true love is and then living that love for ourselves, I’ve come to understand, like you, that love can’t be given by someone to you, it can only be lived by you albeit inspired by someone else living love. The combination of love and medicine however is very powerful.

  245. Many of us will turn to God in a time of crisis – but maybe he is saying ‘I’m here all the time – so how about living with me every day?’ One of the things I have to be aware of in this equation is an old belief system that says God has so much to do that I should only ask for his presence when I really need it. But this is based on an old perception of God, a human like figure rather than the Divine Father he is. Today I know that the presence of God is a beingness that is always with us and we can ask him to be in our lives at any and all times if we choose it – and that he loves to have such a relationship with us all – everyone, equally.

  246. Do we truly appreciate the fact that constellations have always been part of our life, that there is no ‘luck’ or ‘ it was meant to be’ scenarios as we commonly use in our language. There is the Magic of God offered in every moment of our lives that brings people and situations together in an order of magnificence and true timing, which is incomprehensible without pausing to reflect upon the many ‘apparently random’ incidents throughout our lives, which are in fact part of a huge, infinite level of unseen, energetic support, which brings these constellations together for us to evolve from (or not).

  247. “I knew I was in safe hands.” To be feeling so safe in the midst of a bodily crisis speaks volumes for the quality in which Serge Benhayon holds us. He brings a huge sense of safety, a timeless love that holds us dearly and supports us to deal with any situation from our inner steadiness, supporting heart, body and soul all in one.

  248. I meet people who are grossly and morbidly obese with other multiple health conditions continuing to make the same lifestyle choices and eat foods that led to the illness in the first place. Lack of awareness and education is a big factor here. The other is an absence of love and regard for self. Without anyone to reflect a different way of being, people generally continue doing what they’ve always done and simply don’t know how to change.

  249. You now have this foundation with the experiences of all that has happened in your body Mike. This will never leave you but can develop and grow as you embrace more of the miracle of healing that happened to you.

  250. I received news yesterday of someone I know who had died of cancer. Unlike you Mike, this person did not see the opportunity to heal offered by illness and was unable to make the ‘love adjustment’ her body called for. This is how it is for many thousands of people. Blogs like yours confirm how effective it can be supported by conventional and complementary medicine.

  251. This is one of the most uplifting stories about major heart disease that I have ever heard.

  252. It seems to be quite normal for most of us to ignore the loving messages that our wonderful body is always sharing but we only seem to listen when the messages escalate into a “kick in the backside”, a kick that can often come too late to be healed. To be raised from young to know the preciousness of our body and that it can ‘break’, and to be introduced to our body’s innate wisdom would go a long way to prevent those often very painful ‘kicks’. Loving prevention is definitely much more preferable to any cure.

    1. Yes indeed Ingrid, it would be immensely supportive and empowering to be ‘raised from young to know the preciousness of our body’ and to recognise the ‘innate wisdom’ we can access through reading what our body is showing us. This would support us to naturally be far more caring and responsible, therefore more vital and healthy, but also when faced with symptoms we would be far better equipped with the understanding of how to honour our body and work with it in the way that it is prompting us, to truly heal and evolve.

  253. ‘love adjustment’ – how beautiful is that, there is nothing to do or to fix, just allowing oneself to be the love that they innately are.

  254. What great care you had all round Mike, you have been well looked after on so many levels.

  255. I love how you share that you felt surrendered and held in the most difficult (what we call difficult) moments. I feel the truth of what you’re sharing and it is very timely as right at this moment in time I am in the process of accepting and allowing to feel how much I’m actually held and loved. There’s no worries or doubt when I allow this. Thank you Mike, this is truly supportive and healing for me!

  256. Using Esoteric modalities as a complement to Western Medicine is a powerful combination which supports us not only in restoring function but in addressing the factors that caused the illness and disease in the first place. If we are willing to change our choices then miracles can happen, for the body has an amazing capacity to heal itself if we get out of its way and allow the healing to occur.

  257. The concept of being constellated with people is worth to be explored and understood. It seems to contradict how we experience it when we get to meet or know people or we simply are resisting the idea because we like to consider us to be free and make our own choices without being influenced in any way by forces we cannot see being at play.

  258. The touch of one man who holds every one of us in the universe in his heart is a blessing indeed: “As I lay on the ground with my legs elevated, Serge Benhayon came and placed his fingertips on my head and shoulder and I felt a great sense of warmth permeating throughout my body and I was very much at ease with what was happening and felt no sense of panic or fear at all. I knew I was in safe hands. After a few moments, my pulse and heart rate picked up and apparently returned to normal.” – not to say this is all that is needed, to be clear a hospital trip is still warranted, but the touch of someone like Serge Benhayon heals in ways that the medical system cannot. What a blessing for Mike to have had access to both!

  259. Mike what an amazing sharing – I found it truly beautiful when you described how calm you felt and how held and loved you felt when your first collapse happened. This can be a very difficult and scary time if we do not feel supported by our own connection or by those around us. I have had a situation where I have come close to a collapse from an strong allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to some medications and interestingly though we had to act very quickly and there was a incredible urgency about the situation and it was awful to experience as such, there was a part of me that was so incredibly focused on the moment and feeling my body and everything that was going on, that it was like I offered myself the space to surrender to what was happening and it felt ok. The situation and acting on things felt ‘out of my hands’ (simply because we are incapable at that moment in moving or doing anything) and yet I knew I had every ability to bring my quality to the situation, and this was the blessing. Thank you Mike for sharing the beauty that can come when we surrender to the love that we are and the love that is around us all of the time. Now it is for us to practice this all of the time, not just in a crisis!

  260. ‘Illness’ can be very beautiful when we appreciate the magnitude of what it offers us.

  261. Gorgeous to read your sharing, thank you. “This has been a great opportunity to make more self-loving choices in my life and it has also deepened my relationships with others.” The teachings of the Ageless Wisdom as presented by Serge Benhayon offer a way to make more self-loving choices and in turn the more love you bring to yourself, the more love you can express to others which naturally only deepens them.

  262. It makes total sense that conditions of the heart relate to how we express and receive love.

  263. “Throughout all this I felt supported and looked after by God, the Hierarchy and my wife!” Beautiful to appreciate the huge support you got when you were ill Mike, so often the illness takes over and we don’t stop to feel how much support we receive on the road to recovery.

  264. Great call Mike to heed the strong warning signs, and to take the opportunity to look at the way you were living, and then to put in place some much needed changes – after all isn’t this what the body is asking for when it gives us a stop moment.

  265. ‘Throughout all this I felt supported and looked after by God, the Hierarchy and my wife!’ Now that’s a team of support to be reckoned with, alongside the dedicated and hardworking medical professionals.

  266. “In spite of my body going into shock, I felt no fear or anxiety, even though I heard them saying that my pulse was weak and my heart rate had dropped very low.” I would go as far as to say this is quite unusual, as a situation such as this would normally be very alarming. When we have the power of true love around us it really is remarkable how we and our bodies can respond.

  267. An ‘in house’ view of Mike’s reference to ‘Purple Paddington’:
It was beautiful to observe how the ‘Purple Books’ by Serge Benhayon played a significant part throughout in Mike’s healing – a constant companion throughout numerous hospital procedures and visits and also supporting a quality of deep rest at home (for both Mike and myself).
    https://truthaboutuniversalmedicine.com/2015/09/09/the-purple-books-scribed-by-serge-benhayon/

“Being able to tune in with God and the Hierarchy was absolutely magical, as was the assistance of Serge’s books, affectionately known in our house as the Purple Books, or ‘Purple Paddington Bear’. These books are filled with love and feel so lovely that just holding one of these books helped me in my recovery to where I am today – feeling well and cleared for air travel again”

  268. Mike having spoken to many doctors I’ve personally heard that it’s the lifestyle choice, the care and the love that mean the difference between patients coming back in with the same conditions or different ones and a patient going through a deep healing process in a way that transforms their lives. Reading your blog shows that you can change and that the loving choices are what truly count and then inspire others.

    1. Agreed – so much lies in our hands and in our reach if we simply choose to see it – so an illness or a disease is simply a firm nudge for us to step up and make the needed changes that we ultimately deserve – these are very supportive and loving changes that I am talking about.

  269. Beautiful to read Mike. Sometimes we are so stubborn and there can be a lot of pride that we only let go off when the situation is serious enough. At least that is my experience. It was only after a major car accident, in which no one was damaged but the car was total loss, that I felt like I could allow myself to start making more loving choices as I had seen my parents do after being inspired by Serge Benhayon. Of course this is not to encourage people to not make loving choices before a big shock occurs as this is definitely not needed but more to bring an understanding of why these big accidents occur.

  270. Love is the most powerful thing in this world, Love is everything we are seeking yet settling for a lesser version that is emotional and relies on others. Love is quality that we connect to, Love is alive and vibrating in our every cell if we so let it, Love is the truth of who we are. To open up and let Love in and through us feels so Divine we sometimes don’t know how to handle it because it has been so long without it. The more we choose Love the more we realise how incredibly powerful Love is.

  271. To have exposed to us by our bodies that we have been living in total disregard of our own well being and true health is a great wake up call. We then have to consider how that has happened, how what had felt like enjoying life and giving ourselves what we think our bodies need and want is not the whole story. That is on a physical level, but there is the energetic level — those underlying energies that can trick us into thinking we are ” doing well” when really we are making choices that are building up trouble for ourselves. Enter energetic medicine to show us the root cause and give us an opportunity to change our ways and feel more deeply into where those choices come from and how we can choose differently. Each body part has a different message, and obviously the heart is about love. But which kind of love? And is what we feel we love something that is really a need? Universal Medicine is just that, knowing that everything that we choose or comes to us in life is medicine to learn, grow and evolve in our connection to our true essence, which is Love.

  272. “but I definitely ‘got the word’ that the time had come to return to being more loving and appreciative of myself and others.” A very simple remedy that when truly lived enables us to heal many afflictions that have arisen because we have not made life about love and appreciation first and foremost.

  273. The combination of conventional Medicine with your investigations and surgery in hospital and Universal Medicine teachings to return to the gorgeous man you are, gave you the package you needed to heal yourself Mike That is a pretty amazing experience.

  274. There is a known effect for patients to become not responsible for whatever and hand themselves over to medical staff to fix them. We do the same with our car when we drop it off to be fixed. If we damage our car engine do we consider our part in its failure or just inquire when it will be ready? We can play a significant role in medical intervention if we assist in the process and look at the cause and what we can do, to not repeat this process.

  275. What a great recovery Mike, conventional Medicine would do well to use you as a case study. How often do people have health scares, but when it is over they go back to making the same old bad choices that got them there in the first place.

  276. I have had atrial Fibrillation since 2002 – my heart beats irregularly – and initially the resting rate was so high the doctor prescribed medication to slow it down – what I have been able to do is slow it down simply be breathing more gently and being less driven in my life, not pushing myself so hard. The only medication I am on is Warfarin to keep my blood thin to avoid clots and a subsequent stroke. So I feel pretty healthy. I do get a little breathless if I’m climbing up a steep hill or lots of steps, but otherwise I’m OK. But I do know that I need to open up more to love, I’m doing pretty well, I’m in a new relationship, but there’s more I can open up to in all my relationships, and it will be interesting to see what happens to my heart as I do.

  277. The power of love and choices made from it, along with support from our current accepted medicine can truly heal.

  278. Amazing really Mike that when you collapsed, you were surrounded by people who could offer you true support and healing in a way that you would not have recieved anywhere else. You could not have been in more loving hands. Of course the medical profession have palyed an equally important part in your healing process, but I always find it interesting to consider where we are and who we are with when things such as this happen. As far as I understand, there are no coincidences in life, only reasons for us being in certain places and situations at certain times.

  279. Incredible to feel so calm and trusting under what could be perceived to be the most stressful period of your life. And the results are clearly as a result of that and worth talking about!

  280. I love it: healing through the use of conventional medicine AND Love as medicine. We’re giving our power far too much away to conventional medicine in our current western society! This is a clear showcase / testimony of the fact that we truly heal when we combine the two. This should be front page news on every paper, in every well-respected magazine. Thank you dearly Mike.

  281. Who would have thought that with all the operations, procedures and medicine we have for the heart today, the most powerful prescription is love?

  282. What I love about this blog Mike is your enthusiasm and interest towards your health… On a whole, humanity have become sicker and sicker, so a lot of people recoil and to the best of their ability stay far away from knowing what’s going on when they get ill, fearful of what could happen and looking for the quick fix, but your openness to heal and understand is amazing!

  283. We all know that a world without love is cold and hard so it is natural that this will likewise affect us as individuals, if we don’t let love in or be love with others we will contract, harden up and get highly affected.

    1. I agree Eva, and in this story there is so much warmth, Mike has shared a beautiful account of his healing and how it came to pass. Such simple changes but such a big change from them.

  284. What an amazing essential ingredient to choose in your healing of cardiovascular disease. Love – we don’t live in full without it and our body will offer many signs that there are amazing over-all benefits to choosing love in all aspects of life. It makes perfect sense that the health of our hearts will reflect the quality of love we choose to live.

  285. Mike thank you for sharing your inspiring story and the changes you’ve made in your life, lots to appreciate and a great reflection for everyone. I also love the fact that the purple books are so full of love and just having one with me is amazingly supportive.

  286. This is awesome to read in how you have developed a relationship with the masters and can ask them for support. What a confirming relationship to have. Your story here is so much more than the physical, healing is multi-dimensional and we can ask for support all the way.

  287. What an incredible turnaround in two years. It is an inspiring story reflecting the level of responsibility that we need to start taking for our health, rather than relying on a failing health system to prop up our ill choices.

  288. If we are wise and honest enough to stay open to what our bodies are telling us…and then have the courage and commitment to act on these messages….well, then we become our own ultra-qualified, super-expert, multi-specialist doctors and healers.

  289. “For five hours I watched the whole procedure on a screen…” – actually an interesting ‘metaphor’: watching what one has done to themselves, the willingness to see it and thus allowing for the healing to occur, ie. being accountable and taking responsibility.

  290. such a beautiful sharing – when western medicine is married to universal medicine the results are unquestionable – the whole person is healed and they walk away from and illness, disease or accident with greater understanding

  291. ‘I feel so much calmer in my self with these changes – I have more energy, am no longer breathless, my sleep quality has improved and there is a feeling of a stronger inner foundation and joy in my life.’ Sometimes the keys to better health are so simple.

  292. True Jane. The supportive role of Esoteric Medicine in understanding our part and relationship with whatever symptoms we face is empowering beyond measure.

What is also amazing is that it inspires a level of awareness and responsibility that spreads to other aspects of life.

  293. It is so awesome what you have shared Mike as you showed us that if we allowed to open our heart to god there is no fear or anxiety needed . . . most of us are missing something very beautiful because of our living choices.

  294. Awesome to feel how you have claimed your ‘love adjustment’ and committed to making changes to support you to live a much healthy and loving life.

  295. Indeed it feels like and sounds you were in very good hands and has reminded me to appreciate the constellations in life.

  296. Your story is amazing Mike. The effect of the healing from Serge Benhayon and the purple books stand out as things that most people do not experience in everyday life. The fact that you are open to these things enables your own healing, and along side conventional medicine can offer a huge amount of support.

    1. This is the key to it – being open. The major Cancer charity in the UK consistently talks about fighting cancer but when did any evolution come out of a fight? Your body is talking to you, so you choose to fight it – is that really going to result in a long term healing?

      1. Good point Otto. People often talk about ‘fighting’ cancer, but even if we seemingly win for a short while the root cause of the cancer will still be there unless we are open to making true changes in our lives. Making true changes means being loving, tender and attentive to the body rather than trying to bash it because of what it is showing you.

      2. And we need to nurture that relationship so that even more truth can be expressed and heard. Our bodies are yearning to show us a true path through life; they literally have so much wisdom to impart to us, but unless we are open to hearing, then their counsel is falling on deaf ears – which is why they sometimes have to shout louder – hence cancer. It’s beautifully simple!

  297. The physical changes and mental and emotional shifts you describe that sit along side your surgery are a huge testament to the loving choices you willingly made to your lifestyle. What a great role model you are Mike for others that find themselves struck by the biggest killer in society – cardiovascular disease.

  298. Love is healing – and by no means do I mean that in a wishy wasn’t hippy way, let’s go hug trees, but true love -part of which is seeking support of conventional medicine.

  299. It is so humbling to feel and experience the support that is available to us when we open up to it – an opening of our hearts to the love that surrounds us constantly.

  300. Interesting you were at a Retreat about Constellations Mike, it seems the your “attack” came at the moment you were just ready for the change of consciousness, for you had known what was needed for you and your body for s0me time. Your wonderful wise body gave you the nudge.

  301. Thanks for sharing this incredible journey that you have been on and realising it was a awake up call for you. And I do wonder why it is that so many of us get such wake up calls before we are willing to make those changes and allow true healing to take place.

  302. Mike thanks for sharing and what some would call a rude awakening. But when you share where you are now and how this stop your body and soul was asking for was a pivotal point in your life. The support you have had in making these changes is remarkable and it is very inspiring hearing where you are now. Thank you.

  303. Conventional medicine is ace at keeping our physical bodies alive, Universal Medicine supports us to look deeper at the way we are living that has resulted in us needing conventional treatment in the first place. Bring the two together and we have a very powerful health care system.

  304. Superb to hear that you have taken heed of your body’s dialogue with you. I was speaking to a friend with cancer the other day whose experienced doctor had told him that he had found that within three months of a diagnosis almost all patients fully resort to their old ways of being. Amazing what we can ignore.

  305. It is amazing the body we occupy when we listen to what is telling us. We successfully override almost everything it warns us of, from our actions of things we do to it. The body always has the final word to get our attention, by just shutting down or stopping some vital function. But, even at this point, we still have a choice, to wake up or just pit stop and keep running hard.

  306. So great Mike that after such a health scare you decided to take a good look at how you had been living up till that point and made some important changes. This is how we can really support conventional medicine to do its job properly, by taking responsibility for our own health.

  307. By attending Universal Medicine presentations and becoming a student of The Way of the Livingness we are supported to return to a way of life that is simple, gentle, loving and self nurturing. We can wait until faced with a life threatening condition to make this choice, or act now.

  308. You couldn’t have picked a better place to have a bad turn Mike, if anything major ever happens to me I hope it does at a Universal Medicine retreat as well and be in the safest hands on earth.

  309. The support you received at the retreat was amazing Mike, beautiful appreciation you’ve shared with us. Your choice to make more loving choices is a flow on effect of you choosing to connect to love.

  310. This is a good reminder to us all of the harm we are doing to our bodies when we don’t let love in.

  311. Your blog, Mike is another testament to the wonder of the body and how it shows us where we have been making unloving choices and how, if we heed this and make the needed changes, we can turn our life around which affects not only us but all those around us. In effect, making unloving choices can be quite irresponsible as it means that our friends or family are often left to carry the burden that we have not shouldered ourselves.

  312. Wow this is a miracle – thank you for sharing your story here – what a journey and learning for your body. Truly amazing.

  313. What a beautiful insightful sharing Mike, I loved reading about your experiences of love, healing, responsibility and appreciation. Very inspiring, thank you.

  314. The power of Medicine and Love is something that everyone in this world deservers if and when they are suffering an illness and disease. I hope one day that all mainstream hospitals offer esoteric support, for this style of support can be a great guidance, not only to maintain health but keep on growing the depth of what true vitality and health mean.

  315. This is another confirmation of how Conventional Medicine and Universal Medicine go so naturally together and from you Michael, surrendering to the healing and playing your part by choosing to take responsibility for your past choices and to accept the loving changes necessary it made for a complete healing.

  316. The powers of love and what you align to when you say yes to it are beautifully reflected here Michael.

  317. Love, connection, self-care and self responsibility are the best medicine we can possible take for whether we live or die we are still consciously with ourself.

  318. An inspirational read Mike and a great sharing. Having the realisation that the illness was a ‘kick up the backside’ for you is what taking responsibility is about, seeing that we have played a part in what has happened and that it isn’t bad luck, genes or just something that happens.

  319. It certainly was a fairly extreme experience Mike, but these things are needed sometimes to wake us up from our slumber to see that how we have been living has not been supporting us. My understanding is everything happens for a reason, so this incident worked wonders getting you to change some of your habits.

  320. OMG Mike what an super inspiration you are, I was there that night you collapsed and me and my husband were quite worried, yet could see you were in more than capable hands!
Your journey is one of true courage and will help many return to love they also are.

  321. How many people could appreciate their body talking to them in this way as a ‘love adjustment?’ and then go on to make those adjustments? Looking at the health statistics not so many. So what an example to the world you bring. Very inspiring to listen and love the vehicles, our bodies, that we are in.

    1. Love does indeed need to be studied as a medicine but not the romantic love that people mistakenly think is love but the real innate fiery love that resides within us all. In time romantic love will be categorised as a poison for the body, which indeed it is.

  322. Michael what a great read, stories like yours should be widely shared in medical journals so the truth of how conventional medicine and Esoteric Healing can go hand in hand.

  323. Reading your article was like witnessing a miracle! An everyday miracle that we live and started to recognize and realize with loving company of Serge Benhayon. thank you for sharing!

  324. I say there is nothing like a near death experience to get you back on track . . . thanks for sharing yours Mike.

  325. What a gorgeous example of appreciating and choosing to embrace the prompt offered by illness to lovingly change our life around, and the support that is available when we choose that. The love and support of God and the Hierarchy never ceases, but whilst we are busy aligning and running our life with the opposing energy, we often can’t feel the enormity of the love and support in which we are constantly and unconditionally held.

    1. It is incredible how much we are supported by God and the Hierarchy. It is available to us all, we just have to be open to it and to not block the love that surrounds us constantly.

  326. Great to have western medicine to support the physical body so excellently to recover, heal and ‘upgrade’ and enormously great to know how to heal the underlying root cause of the physical condition by the science of energy, the law of cause and effect etc as presented by Serge Benhayon and the Ageless Wisdom.

  327. Mike, you are another walking miracle! And to be able to say: ” …I have more energy, am no longer breathless, my sleep quality has improved and there is a feeling of a stronger inner foundation and joy in my life.” after having undergone a five hour surgery on your aorta and several other procedures is quite extraordinary. People usually take a long time to recover after surgery, especially at your age, but then of course you stopped drinking alcohol and adjusted your diet and life-style – shows how much to our health that accounts for.

  328. A beautiful sharing Mike – wow, the transformations that can happen when we are open and willing to truly heal.

  329. Wow Mike, what a transformation… from the realisation of your body’s messages and bringing love into your life.. the ‘love adjustment’. Thank you for sharing.

  330. You don’t often read of someone experiencing such a huge life threatening event as a blessing, yet that is what you share Mike. It is a real testament to the ability and the willingness of your body to heal, and from what you share there would have been few better places to have such an episode than in Vietnam with Serge Benhayon on hand.

  331. It’s inspiring to feel how open you are and the transformation that has taken place due to this process Mike – thank you.

  332. I think it’s brilliant how you saw all this as an opportunity to deepen how you care for yourself and the love that you bring to all your relationships. We can get caught up in just wanting to get better or return to how we were without being open to seeing what a condition or illness may be communicating to us…

  333. Mike I love your approach to life and your health, it feels so solid and there is none of the usual fight or struggle or victim mode that happens so often when we are ill.

  334. What a blessing to have had the first collapse with Serge Benhayon by your side and to have been given the grace to then get the medical attention needed with that as your foundation as a lived experience in your body!

  335. It makes sense that cardiovascular disease needs to be treated with love. It is after all the organ of the heart that is at the centre of it. If we have not been loving or open with ourselves or others, this puts a strain on the heart and over time the build up of this is too much for the body to handle. It is wonderful to read of your changes Mike and that you are bringing more love into your body and your life.

  336. I love the awareness you share here Mike that this was not just a random piece of ‘bad luck’ but that your experiences have purpose and offer you reflection and the opportunity to evolve. Something for us all to ponder – thank you.

  337. Awesome Mike! Thanks for not sitting on this story, I have known people who have had similar scares that gradually fall back into their old ways and don’t learn from their experience, so your story is inspiring for all who read it.

  338. It’s interesting how something quite horrific and tragic can offer us the opportunity to build relationships with others.

  339. It’s great to see how Esoteric and Western medicine naturally work hand in hand together: I have also found this. Both are of incredible support together.

  340. Thank you for sharing Mike your personal journey to reconnect to God and the Hierarchy. Very inspirational.

  341. What you felt when Serge Benhayon attended to you is extraordinary and, I’m willing to bet, had a fair bit to do with your subsequent journey towards self-care and love. Now, if I were a scientist or medico with any ounce of curiosity, I’d be deeply interested in Serge and what he brings.

  342. A beautiful lesson in combining the skills of conventional medicine with the wisdom of Universal Medicine and our own responsibility in the choices we make in the healing process.

  343. If only there were more people like yourself, that have a health scare and not only get the support of the medical system but, as well, adjust their own life style and look at the underlying reason of why the medical condition. Very inspirational Mick, particularly that you are an elder gentleman, probably having been quite set in your own ways.

  344. In spite of the collapse of your whole body and the shock of this, the fact that you felt no heightened emotion, fear, anxiety or panic demonstrates the love you were being held in.

  345. This is such a beautiful sharing Mike. A truly transformational experience. In the experiencing of your illness knowing that it was a result of your choices is deeply inspiring for us to reflect on our own choices too.

  346. ‘This has been a great opportunity to make more self-loving choices in my life and it has also deepened my relationships with others.’ It is great that you have been able to turn your life around in such a beautiful way.

  347. What a beautiful read Mike and a gorgeous journey you are on with yourself and God.

  348. Amazing Mike, to feel your openness and willingness to stop and look at how you live and make the needed adjustments, this is huge and deeply inspiring. And it’s beautiful to feel your lightness in describing a serious medical condition and the support you got from all around you.

  349. Thank you for sharing your amazing healing journey Mike and it is so awesome that you have such a positive outlook about it. ”This has been a great opportunity to make more self-loving choices in my life and it has also deepened my relationships with others.’

  350. What a gorgeous blog, a profound sharing that teaches me, and everyone, how to truly listen to our body…We need to learn how to trust our feelings again and choose a true way in life – hence you were in the right moment in the right place (Vietnam, Universal Medicine Retreat) to explore what your body truly was telling you, and hence it gave you a clear sign. And than having all the support you needed thereafter… truly truly amazing. Thank you for sharing Mike.

  351. An inspirational sharing, thank you for giving us the window to your world, with your purple paddington bears.

  352. Wow Mike, incredible! Being open to the fact that every action/event has a reason behind it can support us hugely when trying to understand a) WHY we get sick, injured or have illnesses and b) HOW we can use these adjustments as new beginnings to deepen our lives, relationships etc.

  353. Your story touched me deeply Mike, to feel how you’ve surrendered and let in the amazing support that is there when we say Yes and take responsibility for our own health by making self loving choices.Beautiful words and way of life ‘Throughout all this I felt supported and looked after by God, the Hierarchy and my wife!’

  354. This is a massive story and article. I am not familiar with the condition but it was very serious as I can see. It’s great to see people step up and take an active part in their healing, not only on a physical level but also on an energetic level. So much of what we do and our interactions are not done through word and so to address things in this way completes the cycle of healing that is needed. I know for me if I address things purely on a physical level you will see some change while if you incorporate the energetic into that then you will heal and the change will be the end result, a by product if you like.

  355. I await the day when the instructions for healing cardiovascular disease is to look at everything that medicine recommends today plus that they add the all important ingredient of LOVE. It is after all the cardiovascular system we are talking about which is all about LOVE, how we are with it, how open we are to being loved and to be loving.

  356. Having an illness or disease is a true blessing sent from God and when we see it in this light we get to understand that it is not by chance that we become ill but to see it as an opportunity to change our ways so that we can live a life that is truly loving with ourselves and others. Thank you Mike for sharing.

    1. To understand the concept that our illnesses happen as a result of how we live in every way is total empowerment; it shows us what we need to change to heal and how we can go forward to be truly well.

  357. Your story shows just how loud the human body speaks when it says ‘enough is enough’, time to change… a definite way of getting its message across.

  358. It is great to read a story where the wake up call was listened to and life changes occurred – too many times we hear of or know people who have returned to their previous behaviours, which contributed to the ill health in the first place.

  359. Mike, you’re a walking and talking miracle. And your continued choices to support yourself have made it so. Thanks for sharing your story.

  360. Mike, I hadn’t known all the details of your illnesses, but what an incredible journey you have been on over the past couple of years to bring you back to Love. The support that is there when we ask for it allays fears and helps us to know that everything that happens to us is for the reason for us to learn.

  361. Two years have passed since my operations, and many amazing things have happened in my life.
I thank God, Universal Medicine every day for showing me the way forward, needing to make changes in my life style. What a difference a little nudge makes to one’s life.

    1. Yours is indeed a miraculous story Mike. There is no doubt in my mind of the power and true healing that Serge, God and the Hierarchy can offer us. But also acknowledge your own part in your healing and your willingness to not only accept, but to also embrace what has been offered to you.

    2. There are so many people that ignore the little nudge in this world; it is if God is politely saying excuse me, but we continue our life to the next reincarnation point as fast as we can! Feeling the wake-up call as you have done Mike is what the world needs to hear, that there is another way!

  362. Such a beautiful example of taking responsibility and caring for your body and finding that your relationships also deepened in the process.

  363. The part about when Serge came over and held you, opening up a feeling of calm – it amazes me when working with the energy of the Soul as Serge presents, stressful, intense moments can blow away and come back to a state of stillness. This I have experienced many times in Esoteric Healing sessions.

  364. It is a joy to read this article, we all know, well before we are faced with such illness that our habits and behaviors are not necessarily supporting our physical body. To read this account of one person accepting his part in his illness and changing his lifestyle is a clear indication that once done so, our bodies can and do re- adjust, moving back towards the ultimate health and vitality that they are capable of living.

  365. God and the Hierarchy are always present – it is us that forget this and separate from the warmth, love and connection that is innately there.

  366. Amazing blog Mike, I can feel deep appreciation and love emanating through your blog. The changes you’ve made are incredible and hugely inspiring. I agree, love certainly is our best medicine.

  367. Thank you for sharing this Mike – the effects on our health and life in general of making different choices are profound and it is gorgeous to read how you are feeling having gone through all of this. I’m guessing you could not have asked to have been in better hands at the time of your collapse with some amazing medical professionals and Serge to support you. No coincidence, as you point out, that the retreat was about constellations.

  368. I feel really moved by your experience Mike, particularly when you describe feeling completely calm and safe during your first collapse in Vietnam. I can feel the simplicity and absolute Love you were held with by Serge and the others who were attending you which supported your body the align to this Love and recover, and then to go on to make beautiful changes in your life.

    1. Yes, to feel held in a knowing we are love and with God and the calm this brings whilst going through a potentially frightening experience is inspiring. That no matter what happens in life we can connect with God and allow the support that is always on offer.

  369. I smiled as I read how halfway through your medical procedures and healing you had a realization that “this was the ‘love adjustment’ Serge had referred to as I was first taken off to hospital in Vietnam”.

It has been a wonderful understanding offered by Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine that illness and disease are never random or without purpose. They are always loving opportunity offered by our Soul and our body for us to shed the poison we have accumulated in our physical and energetic bodies through living in contra to our Soul, and a huge support for us to return to our true expression if we choose.

  370. Thank you Mike, a beautiful piece that shows how possible it is to not only change, but enjoy it too.

  371. It makes absolute sense that heart problems could be messages about love and how we are living that love in our lives. For you to become more self loving by choosing not to consume alcohol anymore and to not ingest high sugar foods is a huge true treat for your body and allows it space to be more steady which you have already felt. Thank you Mike for heeding the messages and staying with this new support that you have put in place for yourself, you will now be a greater and steadier support for others too.

  372. Incredible Mike. Thank you for sharing. We all know the heart is a centre of love but it is often viewed purely on the level of the physical function of what the heart does. Shows how much we also make life focused this way too… thank God for Serge Benhayon for reintroducing a whole new perspective.

  373. Thank you for sharing your journey and the recovery and changes you have made after your operation Mike. This is a wakeup call for all of us to continue to look after ourselves lovingly so and those around us also.

  374. In a world where we can be so caught up in emotion around illness whether it is fear, anxiousness, or simply the resulting annoyance caused by its inconvenience, it was wonderful to read your blog. Seeing the ‘love adjustment’ as just that can totally change how we are with illness, seeing our own responsibility in our healing process.

  375. Mike I love your blog and the way you write its so very clear and easy to read. How on earth you could watch an operation on you for 5 hours!!!! Gosh I could not do that! and this definitely shows that constellations are around all the time to support us. I also love the term used ‘love adjustment’ it feels very loving and great to hear how your relationship with yourself and your health has changed .. very inspiring.

  376. Thank you for sharing Mike. I am glad they did find the aneurysm as that can be very serious. It is beautiful you got an understanding of why you got it and totally changed your life around.

  377. Thank you Mike for sharing what it seems has been a truly humbling experience. I feel we need humbling sometimes to open up our hearts to the immense love that is clearly innate in us all.

  378. Such a beautiful sharing Mike and one that demonstrates very clearly the enormous and indeed unlimited potential benefits that come with making more self loving choices.

  379. Thank you for sharing your story Mike. It is a great example of how our bodies let us know when we need to make a change. And you are choosing to make changes in your life which are truly healing.

  380. What a magical marriage of true healing is conventional medicine and that of the loving Esoteric Medicine.

  381. Mike this is incredible – it’s really supported me and I don’t have cardiovascular disease. But to trust I am supported no matter what horrendous things come up in life. But that I need to also put the work in myself to change.

  382. Our bodies always have so much to share and yours was certainly doing the talking, Mike. Thank you for sharing.

  383. What you share here Mike about your experience as you collapsed in Vietnam and what you felt as Serge came to your support is a true testimony to the power of love as well of the fact that everything is energy and true healing occurs on an energetic level first and foremost.

  384. Awesome Mike, our bodies will never cease to speak to us, they will just speak louder and louder until we get the message. And when we do listen and start making adjustments and connect to the greater all we belong to the support that is there is immense and as you say full of love.

  385. Mike, thank you for sharing your story, it is very beautiful how you are now listening to your body and are taking care of yourself. If we make unloving choices there is only so long we can keep going before our bodies give us a stop, a sign to change our ways, you could have carried on in the disregard but you stopped, took note and made loving changes, you are a great role model for others.

  386. Mike, what you have shared here is truly amazing. What a transformation you have been through, the realisation of what was needed for you in your life. To then feel such support from those around you, especially God, the Hierarchy and your wife, but also some deep appreciation for yourself for making these life changing choices for ‘you’!!

  387. Awesome Mike, living proof that when we make life about Love we can instigate simple changes in our daily choices that literally saves our lives. Your experience confirms the immense success that can be achieved when we unite the science of conventional medicine and the science of Universal Medicine, both working in unison to restore your heart to its truly glory from the inside out.

  388. Mike what an amazing story! ‘Throughout all this I felt supported and looked after by God, the Hierarchy and my wife!’ During times of extremity (offered as a point of evolution) we can often get absorbed in stress and panic but here you allowed yourself to deeply feel and accept the support on offer – something to really appreciate – I love how your wife is uttered in the same breath as God and Hierarchy (absolutely!) and I love how much you love and appreciate her, which can be felt through your words!

  389. That is great to hear. It is though kind of crazy why so often we need a shock or a big scare to say ok I really need to change/look at the way I am living my life. It shows how stubborn we get accepting the way things are and settling for less than the love we know.

  390. In 2015 I was witness to the sense of space and steadiness around you as you were energetically held and physically supported until (and beyond) the ambulance arrived. There was no sense of panic, not even in your nearest and dearest, which is absolute testament to the soundness, inner connection and wealth of experience of those around you at the retreat celebration supper.

    1. Yes Rosanna, this was a moment when the power of constellations could not be denied. Nothing is by chance, and once Mike had made an energetic choice to return to love on a deeper level (which I observed as an almost imperceptible shift in his body), that was the moment that Serge Benhayon stepped in and put his hands onto Mike’s head and his vital signs began changing within a few seconds.
The true marriage of Western and Esoteric medicine was clearly witnessed by many that night.

  391. When we surrender to what is before us it is amazing the support and healing we are offered. When we are offered wake up calls such as yours Mike, it is our choice what we then do with them. We can either recognise that we need to make changes in our life or we can carry on as before, but without those changes the medical profession can only do a certain amount for us. What I love and can feel from your blog is that you felt lovingly held and supported all the way through your illness and through Serge’s loving words you were able to see the areas of your life you needed to make those changes.

  392. The humbleness, joy and love echoing with your words are palpable; a truly healing experience embraced by your willingness to deepen with yourself and love.

  393. What an awesome coming home story Mike! But how many people out there use the same experience just a prolonged pit stop and then carry on as before?

  394. Nice one Mike, the health benefits from stopping drinking alcohol and sugary drinks are the best and most loving thing we can do for ourselves, I was never a good sleeper until I stopped and now I sleep like a log and I am loads lighter, fitter and vital too.

  395. Mike to most this would be outrageous to look at illness and disease like you have… but the other way of not taking responsibility and not looking at how we live, how open or not we are, and not appreciating ourselves is definitely not working. What a gift you gave yourself, your body and your family Mike by stopping and seeing the big picture and taking steps to love you in the way your being absolutely deserves to be honoured.

  396. Thank you Mike, this further confirms that medical procedures and interventions on their own are not enough to bring us back to full health, particularly after a traumatic health incident. Aligning ourselves to God, taking responsibility for our own health and deeply loving ourselves are core ingredients of a return to true health and well being.

  397. As I was reading your blog Mike I got the feeling of how much your surroundings supported you to open up to more love, from the medical staff, to you wife and Serge Benhayon. The opening to open up to love is always there and it is up to us to accept it. When we accept it life takes on a whole other meaning and purpose.

  398. Wow, Mike, thank you for sharing this with us all – an inspiring example of taking responsibility as well as of embracing the illness or disease we have for what it is asking us to look at, discard and potentially step into. This is when true healing happens.

  399. Thank you Mike, for this lovely sharing. The beauty of our return to God is that we all have different ways to come to this point. And in this we do understand when we have reinstated that connection with God, that we are all one and the same and that your story is my story and vice versa.

  400. How amazing is the care and detail of the clinicians and health system staff? It’s not perfect but I am going through the process of many tests presently with the many technological systems analysing parts of my body to source what is wrong with me. I have seen many specialists the last few years all eliminating what I don’t have. The fact is my body is in pain and what each result and outcome keeps leading back to is confirming my choices either loving or not towards my self and my wellbeing.

  401. Knowing you Mike and being there on the evening in Vietnam you have described, this has been one heck of a journey… and both yourself and your wife Stephanie have been nothing short of amazing throughout.
It can be no easy process whatsoever, to experience such an event, and then to have gone through the many surgeries since – and yet, here you are, appreciative and deeply wise about the totality of what has been presented to you here through this.
Healing is about so much more than the body alone, and to recognise and embrace the opportunity “to return to being more loving and appreciative of myself and others” is deeply inspiring – words all of humanity needs to hear. Your love was always grand, and now those of us who know you, feel held by even more…
Thank-you for going there, and sharing here on this blog. More words of wisdom from your pen please dear man.

  402. I was there that night – and in the words of the doctors, you had at that point all the signs of going into cardiac arrest, and once Serge placed his hands upon you whilst the ambulance was called and doctors there were attending you, those symptoms started to reverse quite markedly. I saw the colour return to your face. Remarkable indeed.

  403. Thank you for sharing your story, Mike. It’s amazing how we live our life forms the physical body we live in, and we would not stop to think a possibility of it being in any way detrimental to the essence of what we truly are and how that is to be expressed because we have set up our ‘normal’ that seems to function in the world we live in. Love adjustment totally makes sense, and it’s such a blessing. The more yes we say to the true light, the more refinement is needed in the way we live to have the body that can house that light.

  404. Beautiful, Mike. And do you know what? We receive these ‘love adjustments’, via the illnesses and conditions we manifest, all the time. What we do with those bodily messages is then up to us. Do we rely on medicine to ‘fix us’ (if that it possible) and leave it there? Or do we resist the temptation to ‘return to normal’ as soon as possible and dig deeper in order to understand how we came to be where we are?

  405. I had tears in my eyes and my whole body felt the love that was offered when I read the part that Serge Benhayon put his fingers on you, this love which is lifting us all to return to our natural state.

  406. I love the stop you were offered that not only exposed a health issue requiring surgery but made you assess your health and the choices that affected it, and inspired you to change your life and commit to creating a more loving foundation to support you in it. An experience that was nothing short of a blessing.

  407. Gosh it is beautiful to feel all the love in your blog Mike. There is so much healing always available to all of us if we but allow it as you have.

  408. There are so many ‘pearls of wisdom’ here Mike and the shift I feel in myself just from reading this blog is deeply appreciated. This supports me also at understand that it is time also for a ‘Love Adjustment’ in my life and all that is to be done is to claim more of who I truly am. Loved your comment on the Purple Books as purple paddington bears 🙂

  409. What an inspiring turnaround Mike that leaves us in no uncertain awe as to the remarkable ability of the human body to:
    1. Alert us to disharmony the moment it arises
    2. Keep alerting us should we fail to ignore these signals
    3. Be totally 100% on board to restore harmony the moment we give it permission to do so.

  410. What a huge wake up call this has been for you Mike but what a divine support crew you have had through your healing process. Of course you could have ignored all the advice and your inner wisdom and continued to live the way you had been doing up to that moment. It was your choice to make that “love adjustment” that was the final piece of the healing puzzle; very inspirational indeed. Now to see a medical paper written and published on your powerful life experience; it would certainly change the face of medicine as we know it.

  411. Magnificent Mike, I love the way you describe this experience – what comes across is that this condition was truly not a disaster or ‘bad thing’ but a readjustment of your life to allow for much more light to come. It’s one thing to say, but maybe it’s the same way with all the things that happen in our lives today? And what if as you show we are given everything we need (like the purple Paddingtons) to heal and be supported?

  412. How amazing that you were able to stay calm as you felt the support of the Universal Medicine students around you, and how fortunate to have Serge on hand. Yours is a beautiful story of recovery and acceptance of responsibility for lifestyle choices and how easily we can support our own recovery through simple choices like giving up alcohol.

  413. That’s so cool that you get to watch the procedure!! Sounds almost worth it haha
